Heart Chakra Meditation

How Do People Become Psychic?

Everyone has the ability to see, hear, sense or feel things not normaly apparent through our five senses. For some people, clairvoyance, clairsentience and/or clairaudience come naturally and they don't have to develop it. Others will show signs of it and want to develop their abilities further.

Just like any acquired skill, practice will strengthen any abilities you have. If you don't have any natural psychic or mediumship abilities, there are tools for developing and honing in on your gift;the best way to do this is through meditation.

What Kind Of Meditation Is Best For Psychic Development?

There is no special kind of meditation for psychic development. Knowing yourself and delving deeper into your own psyche will help you know others. Reading various kinds of books will help you "experience" and understand things, so reading does help. The best kind of study is life experience, which will help you to understand peoples' background and situations during readings. The more open-minded and empathetic you are, the better reader you will be.

Meditating and clearing the mind while focusing on the third eye or "blank screen" while your eyes are closed is the first meditational exercise that should be practiced daily for at least thirty minutes at a time. I always like to call upon protection or pray before clearing my mind to avoid any negative psychic influences from entering my thoughts. This will strengthen your clairvoyance or ability to "see" things in your mind's eye. No distractions are allowed and all phones should be turned off. Your environment should be quiet, clean and organized. Soft meditational music is okay, such as the music by Stephen Halpern or Dr. Jeffrey Thompson, who syncs music with brain frequencies to achieve theta and gamma states (optimum for meditation).

Why Is Empathy Important For Readings?

Empathy helps you to see things from the solar plexus chakra or your stomach chakra. You have probably heard of that expression, 'gut instinct'? That is exactly what happens. You will have an inner 'knowing' of something, whether good or bad and it will make itself known in your stomach. This is why I believe that some stomach exercises and yoga positions are especially important for psychic development.

Your heart chakra is also important to clear whenever you can. Use Steven Halpern's "Chakra Suite" CD and let go of any past hurts and pains, knowing you deserve love. Repeat mantras in the mirror or put some up that you see everyday. The more you love yourself, the more you can love others and 'read' them clearly.

Learn Tarot Reading To Strengthen Clairvoyance

Learn tarot cards or another form of divination like rune reading to help increase intuition and clairvoyance. Before any reading, always make sure you protect yourself. Any form of divination opens a door to the unknown so it is important to make sure all who enter your personal space or give advice are 'from the light' and 'full of love.' It will take time to decipher this so always pray to the god you believe in aloud or call upon Archangel Michael beforehand; its better to be safe than sorry.

Amethyst and Lapis Lazuli Deals

Wear Amethyst or Lapis Lazuli

If you are female, wear amethyst or hold amethyst during meditation. Amethyst connects you to your spirit guides and is a very spiritual stone. Lapis lazuli is also very good for psychic developing and is great for psychic visions and intuition. You may lay down and place it on your third eye chakra (between the brows) and meditate for stronger visions and intuitions.

Cleanse Your Crystals

Always be sure to clear your crystals once you feel their energetic values have 'dulled.' The crystals you use several times a day may need a weekly cleanse whereas the ones you use a few times a week may only need a monthly cleanse. First, wash them thoroughly using regular water, then set them on the windowsil or place them outside so that the moonlight clears them overnight. For best results, do this during a full moon.

Another good way to cleanse your crystals (and your own aura or chakras) is by burning sage and fanning the smoke with your hands into the area or crystal that needs to be cleansed.

      Nathan,

Thank you!! Yes, you are right, this is very important! I usually cleanse about once a week or once every two weeks...really whenever I feel the crystal needs to be 'charged!' The light of the full moon works best! I will definitely add the cleansing process to this hub very soon!

You've forgotten to mention that when you use crystals, you need to cleanse them, otherwise they will become more dangerous than useful ;)

Kristen, Yes, it was when those experiences kept happening that I decided it was time to do some investigating. Thank you for reading and stopping by!

What an interesting topic to write about!! I think I could develop this ability if I focused on it, as you discuss here, but there is a part of me that is very hesitant to ... Sometimes it's difficult having that feeling "something is wrong" and then it turns out you were right.

      Keep on writing!! :)
