How to Protect Your Spiritual Energy?

Engelta loves sharing the spiritual world with the ones worthy of it. The magick, the witchcraft, the ascension.

Let me get this out first: You don't need a fancy ritual or bath to build layers of Spiritual Protection around you. Sure, the extra steps help, but first and foremost you must learn how to use your own psychic abilities, so you will activate protection whenever you need it, wherever you may be.

You don't need to be in some quiet place, or get yourself in full deep meditation to activate protection. Though you may need to focus the first couple of times, close your eyes and meditate, once you learn it, you will be able to activate the Spiritual Protection Shield in whatever situation by just focusing your third eye for a couple of seconds.

You may want to activate protection when you are feeling down, running on low energy, or you are feeling a strong negative vibe coming from someone. You don't need to have it activated all the time, because it may make people feel like not being able to interact with you, and protection is a no-no when you are getting a reading.

The way I do it, is activating the Protection Shield at night, when I go to sleep, so I will be protected throughout the night, when most spells are cast.

1. The Egg - This is one of the simplest most taught methods of building a Protection Shield around you. What you need to do is activate your imagination along with your third eye chakra and imagine a bright light that starts in the center of your body and expands until it covers your whole body in the shape of an egg. Imagine the bright light egg surrounding your body and it grows just enough to cover you even when you extent your arms. The secret is to imagine this egg growing from the center of your body and while it is growing, it is also pushing out of your body and aura the darkness, the evil eye, the juju's, therefore you are also cleansing your Spiritual being, not only building protection.

2. The Chakras - This method requires for you to be able to focus and be patient. You will need to activate all your chakras, one by one, starting from the Root Chakra coming all the way up to the Crown Chakra. Once you feel them activated, you will go back to your Root Chakra, which is a red color (or whatever color you imagine it first, because it is important to follow your own Spirit Intuition) and imagine a bright red light growing through your whole body and surrounding your whole body. Then you go up to your Sacral Chakra colored in orange and imagine an orange light growing through your whole body and surrounding your body, creating a layer of orange light just over the first red layer of the Root Chakra. You keep building all the layers until you form the last one, the bright layer of the Crown Chakra over the purple layer of protection of the Third Eye Chakra. Now you have 7 layers of protection. The thing is, that it is hard to activate all your chakras, especially if you have never worked with them before and only worked with the third eye chakra. However, when you learn how to do this for a couple of times, you will be able to go through the process quicker. I have shortened the process by activating the Chakra and creating the layer of protection as I go (activate the Root Chakra, create the red layer of protection, then activate the Sacral Chakra, create the orange layer of protection, and so on.)

3. The 4 elements - This is my favorite method of all. Not only because you protect yourself, but also because you can feed on the energy of the elements while building the protection. I usually start with the bright light that cleanses my Spiritual being, without creating the Egg, then move on to calling forth the elements. In this method you will also build layers of protection and the order in which you'll want to is this: Earth, Water, Fire, Air. First comes the earth, over which dwells the water, that if it is put on fire, will evaporate into air. So you first imagine dirt and leaves surrounding your body, creating the first layer. Then comes the water in waves, (I usually imagine huge waves going in all directions just for the sake of strong protection), which creates the second layer over Earth. Then you want to start a Fire, and then you want to imagine wind blowing in all directions over the Fire.

A Word of Caution: The Chakras method of Spiritual Protection and the 4 Elements method of Spiritual Protection, may trigger anxiety, especially if you have phobias from closed spaces. The Chakras method may not be hard on you, because you will imagine bright lights in different colors, so it does not feel heavy, but it may trigger you because of the many layers. The 4 Elements method may really take a toll on you, because you are not imagining light, but real hard material, plus you know (your subconscious knows) the danger of being buried on earth, being drown in water, getting burnt by fire, or thrown away by strong winds. This knowledge can play lots of tricks on you, so be careful when you try out this method. If you want to test yourself, go for it, but don't 'jump' to this method if you have not mastered the previous ones, and certainly don't start building massive layers of one element, if you don't feel well. Anxiety may kick in anytime and you will feel like suffocating under the heavy burden of the elements. Certainly don't start with a sea on tempest, but start with calm clear waters. Don't imagine the dirt of the Earth being pressed too much, imagine it with pores, ways to breathe, not so dense. For Fire imagine small fire like those of candles, and for Air imagine a breeze of air, blowing nicely. If you can handle it, you can add on it. But never jump on anything, especially in magic, because playing with Energy is not something to be taken lightly, and it can really mess you up. If you start small, not only you learn on your way up, but you can handle it easily and call it off anytime you don't feel like it's working or like it's too much for you. Try again another time, when you are feeling vitalized.
