How to know if your Prayers are getting answered
Getting Answers To Prayer
How To Know your prayers are getting answered
You can start with the Blank Check List provided. (you should be able to right mouse click and save or google blank check list)
At the very top line write: "Prayer Journal"
(you can add pages as needed. I recommend not to through away any pages because you will look back later and learn from all the pages in your journal)
To start with let's look at an example: You are afraid or Your spouse is angry all the time.
2 Timothy 1:7 (King James Version)
7For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Let me add that there are two kinds of fear, there is a fear of the lord (good fear-bad fear)
Psalm 111:10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise.
Now we see that the bad fear is referred to as a spirit. Timothy said we're not given this spirit But power love and a sound mind. This all speaks in a positive mode. We are not given something negative but something positive and we giving three things positive not just one negative thing.
Now we're off to the List! Draw a line down the middle of the page ( I like to put the line on the right side about at the 1\4 line ) and on the first line put fear on one side ( I like to put the negatives on the right side) on the other side (left) put the positives
You want to go down the check list doing this over again. It doesn't have to be just for you either. It will end up being for you, your family, friends, and even people you hardly know, because you will see a need and you will take it to your Prayer Journal. As you daily pray over your journal call out the names of each person on your list. This is very important the bible says:
1 Timothy 2:1-3 (King James Version)
1 Timothy 2
1I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
See we find from Gods word that we are to even pray for those in authority over us.
Look at the word supplication below. In bold and underlined, it can be used as a petition,
ThesaurusLegend: Synonyms Related Words Antonyms Verb 1. supplicate - ask humbly (for something); "He supplicated the King for clemency" supplicate - ask for humbly or earnestly, as in prayer; "supplicate God's blessing" supplicate - make a humble, earnest petition; "supplicate for permission" beg, implore, pray - call upon in supplication; entreat; "I beg you to stop!" So now your journal becomes a Prayer Petition
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
Now that you have your Prayers in writing God can't say you didn't ask.
Stop hear and let me say that God answers every prayer!
Remembering God is not in "Time" He created time for us He is not effected by time.
So the yes, no or wait could be as fast as we didn't hardly get the words out of our mouth to it could be not even in our lifetime. Example: Acts 16:31 (read the whole chapter for a better understanding)
31And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. We see here that Got says He will save us and our house.
What a promise, God put it in writing and we're told to do the same thing. Date each time something new is added and be sure to check off each time a prayer is answered. You can use a highlighter for answered prayers to help make it easier at just a glance.
One more thing about your list. If you feel like you don't know how to pray, learn to pray opposites. Example: If your praying for someone mean, put that on the right side colmn and on the left side something like nice, kind, gentle, caring, giving.
Do like the bible showed us early 1. fear via 1.power,2.love, 3.sound mind.
(let the positives out number the negatives 3 to 1)
To finalize things it says in
Matthew 18:18-20 (King James Version)
18Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
19Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
20For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them
This is another lesson but we want to look at a couple of things that will help use in our pray life...Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth (your prayer journal) shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
WOW What a promise! These 3 scriptures are so powerful, but like I said that is another lesson.
I wish you God Blessing, God's speed, and God's Best for you and yours. If this has been helpful and a Blessing to you. Please share.
I Bless you in Jesus Name.
