News flash. Conflict is no longer justified!

Updated on February 5, 2013

This is a majestic Century plant, It blooms and then can linger 100 years

You just do not mess with these as their longevity is really cool. But when they fall down they make the finest ever walking stick.

A New Testament Poem. A hand to end divisiveness. A Poem to heal.

This poem I write in Old Testament lament

I hear it quoted and justification meant

I am not of the old I am of the new

I know not the ignorance my forefathers knew

So when one seeks in praise and horrible war they raise

I take some solace in what I hear

From the “brother” of Jesus I hold so dear

Old murder and mayhem was not heaven sent

For those acts of ancestors we should repent

Love is the new commandment that we follow

Ancient battles they ring hollow.

Old school is conflict and battle, new school is seeking resolution, through Love. Tradition is great, but chains are a heavy weight.

I am but a landscape painted in silhouette

I am not someone that has been there yet

My pain is real for all to see

I try but am not worthy

So I am a coward that you do not know

Life is not my friend from high or below

But I sew scripture and the turn of a phrase

And I know just who to praise

Thanks James for setting the matter straight

War and conflict are for a long past date

Seriously these three flags fly together

Conquering is a very old concept. In my city we are inclusive of both the native American and the Mexican roots we respect. We do not try to slaughter each other any more.

I reckon James puts war to death here

I originally had a long quote from James here. But the censors declared it too much. So I must just leave you with the citation. I just think the way James said it was like poetry.

Jas 3:16-4:3

Basically he lets us know that any excuses used to create conflict are bogus, because serving Our Lord in Love does not require conflict.

Interesting on that notion "made broken" You are right we make ourselves broken. Certainly I do not believe we are born broken or that God breaks us. So much is impossible for man, and not for God.

We were not made broken, we broke ourselves.

Only the mighty Hand can put the pieces back where they belong.

I am a young - to preaching, for man. My wife prays that my pen moves to my mouth. If we are made broken then we can be made whole again in His eyes. I have some faith that my ministry will grow, but little faith in my self.

We are meant to love, I sometimes wonder if I have enough.

      Ericdierker,

I see God has given you a gift for writing. It flows from your heart to your pen.

      Thanks, graceinus.

I speak to my young ones thusly. I am old and you are young. My ways are old, yours are new. Within my home are my old ways. I hope you carry some with you within your new home.

The really cool bitchin ass thing is that you and I talk about it. I really like your comment and "met" is a beautiful way to say it.

Hello Ericdierker, I remember something my Dad told me once when I was about 9 years old and your Hub reminded me of it after all these years. He said;" The momemt Christ died on the cross was the moment two Covenants met."

      Thanks.
