Follow Jesus lead

One should be kind to a fainting friend, but you accuse me without any fear of the Almighty. (Job 6:14 New International Version)

When you see a friend is encountering any difficulty whether it be financial or a sickness or a relationship hardship which do you do: do you go and comfort and encourage them or do you self righteously critize them?

Which do you think does them the most good? Which do you think Jesus would do? Which would you like for someone to do for you when these heavy clouds envelope you?

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle. Author unknown

The next time your friend is experiencing a trial in their life, remember how you felt when someone was self righteous to you and how another was comforting and encouraging to you. Choose wisely friend or you may end up losing a friend. Indeed, you may even prevent a suicide.

A man of knowledge uses words with restraint, and a man of understanding is even-tempered.
Proverbs 17:27, New International Version

Oh and by the way be sure to inform them you are praying for them, you might be surprised how such a kind and simple act will life their spirits.. Write it down on a piece of paper and keep it by your bed side. The first thing in the morning include them in your morning prayer. At evening before closing your eyes in sleep say the prayer again.

Is there a friend you can think of, or a co-worker or family member that needs you now? Why not go have a cup of coffee or tea with them and be a good friend?

Do you wish to receive mercy? Show mercy to your neighbor.
John Chrysostom
