How To Get Into Heaven?
Heaven & Jesus Christ
Heaven- a place regarded in various religions as the abode of God (or the gods) and the angels, and of the good after death, often traditionally depicted as being above the sky. Synonyms: Paradise , Nirvana , Zion
I am sure we are all familiar with the idea of heaven. Most people, especially religious, find peace of mind in knowing Heaven will be the land of promise after death. I feel the same but I do believe we all go to Heaven and that there may truly be no Hell. But I am not here to just preach my opinions. I am curious what you as a reader may think about Heaven, and maybe a brief explanation on why you feel or believe as you do?
I myself was born and raised very much so christian, and from a very young age struggled with a few key points that I was taught about heaven. These points are as follows:
-Why is it that only Christians, or those that are saved through Jesus Christ are permitted into heaven?
- Why is our time in Heaven preached to be an eternity? (No belief in reincarnation)
Heaven through Christ?
These are both questions that always bothered me. As a person raised in a Christian family and attending church services/ lectures regularly(twice a week, Sundays and Wednesday), you can imagine how deeply ingrained these teachings were into my mind. I feel extremely lucky to have the kind of personality to question everything and not live by "blind-faith." I would ask my mother even as a child what about all the other religions that don't accept Jesus? Do they all burn in hell for eternity as preached in our church? She, (and any member that I would of asked in our church), would tell you with a straight face that indeed those people were going to hell. It made no sense. I would think about other kids like me. Say a Buddhist child, or Muslim child. I would think that their parents and church leaders must be teaching them in the same manner toward faith in their religious views that I was taught by mine. That it was not fair to be punished simply for the way you were raised. I was told that everyone on earth at some point in time would be faced with the word of Jesus and could then accept him as their personal savior, or deny him and burn for an eternity in hell. How harsh! I was able as a young pre-teen to put myself in this supposed persons shoes. I would imagine a missionary of some other faith with some other savior approaching me and telling me that his/her savior was the only true savior and in turn the only way to be permitted into heaven. I knew that I would deny this as fact and not be able to accept his/her claims. This led me to think, "Why the hell are we sending missionaries out there?" If we tell them about Jesus and they deny him as the truth and true savior, are we not damning them to hell? You can see how things started to not make sense and how in my later years and mid teens I made the decision to stop going to church, taking Christianity as definite truth, and began on a endless journey toward the truth of heaven. The truth of heaven, what it was, and how to get there. I do not have all the answers but have a great perspective on the afterlife and the "other side". And let me tell you friend you will be going there whether you like it or not. Whether it is through Jesus Christ or some other means it is irrelevant. For it is through death that you enter unto the "other side". And yes the other side is "heaven".
Now to my next point of confusion as a pre-teen concerning Heaven.
Note: A quote that I live by when concerning God that you as a reader should take into consideration regardless of your religious views, philosophy toward life, etc., may insist upon. The quote reads as follows:
"It doesn't matter how you love God, for the love given to God will open the door to the constant love God gives to you and resonate in your soul."

We are stuck there (Heaven) forever?
I will just touch on this briefly. Growing up it was always preached to me that after death I would ascend to Heaven to be there with Jesus Christ and God for all of eternity. As a kid this sounded great! As I got older it started to not make sense and scare me. I would think, "Is my soul really only this many years old? What if I want to come back? Would God say "No"? What is Heaven a prison?
This had me thinking in my later years that God must be more understanding and not as humanized as taught. I think that Heaven is preached from a very human perspective(of course since humans are the ones informing us about it.) That there must be a lot more too it. That we must be able to come and go as we please. Or at least under circumstances be able to come back. There for I always imagined Heaven to be a real place but taught in a skewed version of so by those in fear of death grasping tightly to the peace of mind that the Christian version of Heaven is taught. Which is not a bad version but seems to be a bit untrue. Truly what is the best way to recruit a none believer then by offering them eternal life in paradise. The church capitalizes on fear of death, as well as guilt of life. Life is meant to be indulged upon and lived, within the realm of at least some form of moderation and healthy circumstances.
Any ways, there is my two cents on Heaven. It is worth just that and I would never want to change anyone's mind on such, as much as I would enjoy making you think. Your mind and opinion is very important. Try to question everything! Only go by "blind-faith" when it feels absolutely true to you. Explore your mind, heart, and gut feelings in regard to "truth." If one of the three doesn't comply then question why and search!
Thank you for reading!
