Most of us believe the human condition is to struggle; and it often seems that way. That's because most us of are unaware of the reality of our lives.

Try to Imagine that we are in a Matrix, (like the film) one designed by our thoughts and the global thoughts of people throughout history...

And then imagine that you could 'wake up' and break through the web of mental confusion and limitations which drive us to feel empty, and to always need more. We all have thought patterns that determine the outcome of situations, and we live within 'time-frames' either from the past, or projected to a future.. when we can eventually be, or once was... 'happy'.

But, the past and the future don't exist! I mean REALLY DON'T EXIST! (Yeah, yeah... heard it before), I used to think that myself until I had an 'awakening' which blew my mind. It is in stillness and presence that you find everything you long for, need, want or desire IS YOU...right now... AND THE LIFE YOU ARE is perfection.

We give many reasons for our dissatisfaction: Perhaps we miss someone, or some place or some thing. We want more money, prestige, possessions, control. We tell ourselves that we will be happy if/when a certain set of circumstances become our reality (a raise at work, new job, car, relationship the relationship etc).

But if we can really grasp that neither the past nor the future exist and open our eyes, the "Here and Now" is spectacular exactly how it is. So why do we spend so much time in the 'waiting room' of life?

Because we don't yet see or can't yet hear the truth...its skimmed over..too simple and easy to obtain, so therefore can't possible be worth our time...We analyze, philosophize, judge, with our ego identities blocking the way!

We are conditioned to struggle for more.. or to feel superior or inferior...that joy, peace, bliss has to be worked for. This isn't the truth. Our thoughts are lies that limit us and keep us waiting...

Time is only an illusion and a place to structure events. There will only ever be the "Here and Now" for you to enjoy. We need to wake up from the sleepwalking! We are dreaming what our mind tells us is real, but its a web (Matrix) and the good news is YOU CAN GET OUT OF IT ANY TIME YOU CHOSE.

Regardless of your current circumstance, look around you, not with eyes that judge or a heart and mind that has prejudice... but with wonder, like that of a small child. Wake Up! Free yourself. Happiness is within your reach right now...Happy New You!

WHO AM I?

Breath! Sigh! Move! try!

greed, must, need, lust

See! Touch! Be! Free!

hurt, waiting, frightened, wasting

Forgive! See! Love! Trust!

who me? myself, or...she?

"I AM,"... Is me...and you;

This... Is Reality!

Hi Fossilady, nice to see you again after all this time! I am honored to introduce you to Eckhart Tolle, his work is amazing - I've had a very difficult two years and I have his books on audio. Playing them over and over has helped me remember to live in the present moment and to understand we don't have to go with what our minds are telling us! Thanks for stopping by, Helen :-)

'It is in stillness and presence that you find everything you long for, need, want or desire IS YOU...right now... AND THE LIFE YOU ARE is perfection.'

The ability to be happy rests within each of us every day. Very thoughtful hub, Helen. :-)

Thank you Pamela - so many people don't realize that misery is optional and that they can chose to 'step aside' from the mental chatter and the boundaries of their egos. Thank you for the vote!

Hi Serena, thank you for your comments. I know! We are all rushing and working so hard to reach something...and when we get there, it wasn't what we needed anyway! Its so weird that we are all so misled by our conditioning and ego identity. Creation is indeed full of glory and magnificence, thank you!

Hello WillStarr, thank you for your comments - yes, if we have one foot in the past and one in the future, we disappear from NOW - thanks for this great visual! As you say, we live in ignorance most of the time.. I hope to help awaken, whilst trying to wake up myself! thank you.

Many of us live with one foot in the past and one in the future while today slips by beneath us, all but unnoticed.

      Excellent Hub.

This is a very interesting hub. Life is a choice and misery is optional. You are right that we do have the power to be happy and isn't that wonderful. Voted up!

True true. Last Summer(2012), I started to think of this same thing. I realised that we are conditioned to hate our lives and accept it as a fact. "You know - that's life". It takes time to overcome the fear conditioning and see that we are here to experience creation in all its glory.
