Listening with your heart, seeing with your soul that faith, hope, love and believing is all we need to know in this world. Everything else will fall into place.

Faith, family and friends. These are words that describe the foundation that I rely on to rule my life and how I've choose to live.

Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

The scripture above reflects how I relate to my faith. I believe that Jesus died on the cross so that I may have eternal life. I know that throughout my life God has been my guide even though there were times that I turned away, he never did. As the Footprints poem states, during my troubled times, it was then that he carried me.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7: Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Corinthians describes words that families should live by, being kind and respectful to each other.

John 15:13: Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.

A true friend will always by your side in times of joy, triumph, sadness, neediness, willing to lend a hand, a shoulder to lean on, tears to share and laughter to brighten your day.

The word family and friend extends to your brother's and sister's in Christ. You should love them though you may not always agree with their choices in life. Don't pass judgement for that is God's choice, not ours.

There are various ways we can show our love, all over the country there are cities and towns that set aside a day to clean up their communities. Those involved take pride in their neighborhoods, are proud of what they've accomplished. Some local hospitals have fundraising walks for their cancer centers, raising money to help the patients and their families pay medical bills, obtain assistance from local charities. The participants in these walks believe in giving back to their communities and helping those in need. Those times a city or town is engulfed in a tragedy when the world, their country and local communities come together to offer assistance. The Boston Marathon bombing is a wonderful of pulling together to help the injured, no questions asked, the police, fire and EMT's responded as well as everyday citizen's to help the injured and offer support the best way they could. It's been a little over a year and the unconditional love and support continues to this day. There have been many times that a crisis has impacted other's in the world and other countries have offered support either with cash donations or by collecting clothing, food, water, school supplies, books, items that may seem worthless to us can be a lifeline for another.

As parents we believe our children have to overcome obstacles in their lives because we have provided the tools, we have been the example of faith, love and hope. Our faith allows us to believe in what they can accomplish. Couples who live by faith, love and hope believe in their relationship, struggle with the highs and lows, trust which gives them purpose. The purpose is what changes the negative aspects of their relationship into positives, that bind their union. Friends rely on each other in times of need. They not only share in the joys in each other's lives, they suffer through the troublesome times such as the loss of a loved one. This is all possible by the Grace of God and the faith we have to know that this to shall pass. Those times we pray and ask for guidance we know that it isn't our will that God responds to because sometimes we get in the way of what God knows we actually need. I place a tremendous value in my Family, My Faith & My Friends. They have been my rock over the last 14 years. Those times I didn't want to continue they found a way to push through my walls I began to put around me and gave me the gentle nudge I needed to go forward. Topped off by the many signs God sent my way to remind me that no matter what I encounter in my life he has and always will be by my side. I just need to offer up my troubles and let him lead the way.
