I Heard A Still Voice, "Better Not Go There"

Updated on January 9, 2013

I Heard A Still Voice , "Better Not Go There"

I had heard that voice before and knew from where it came,

It did not say another word and did not even call my name.

I jumped into my car and drove away from there so fast,

For I had heard that voice speak to me often in the past.

My unseen Father watches out for me from on high,

And if I do not listen sometimes my dreams like ashes lie.

Why should I fail to heed Him ?He knows best for me.

My Father would not tell me wrong I'm His child you see.

When I hear that voice ,I know I'm on dangerous ground.

I do not think twice and do not even try to look around.

You know when you hear that small voice speak to you

Turn yourself around for that is all that you should do

How much trouble we could avoid if we hear a voice say,

"Better not go there.," and we would turn and walk away..

We need not know what awaited us, it matters not at all

We were going the wrong way when we heard that call.

If we give God His Rightful Place,He's with us every day.

We'll be in the center of His Will and never hear Him say,

"Better not go there for there is nothing there but pain,"

When you live for God ,you won't hear His words again.!

I was just thinking in this day and age with

all of the noise around all of the time how

many people would hear that still small voice ?

We have to wonder how many people would

hear The Lord if He called to us.It is so hard

to realize all of the changes in this world in

the last few decades. Never did we dream there

would be so many changes in our life time.

This country needs a revival like they used to

have in the days long past . Are those days

gone for good?Let us Pray for God to send

someone to get to man's heart and turn

them back to God!

Hi shofarcall, I messed up here, I think I could have held the post comment too long and the it came up twice , I tried to edit it but it is still on here. Leave it to me to mess something up. Anyway ,thank you for your comment, Sometimes I wonder how much good I am doing on here. I think you answered that for me ,I know that I won't get to everyone but I guess I can reach some hearts . God gives the ideas to me and then I try to do the best that I can with them , Thank you .Clara

Hello CCurry, thank you for your comment. Yes, we have to pray without ceasing. If we slack down a little one day then the next day it may be a little bit more until we don't have the prayer life we had before. If we have to neglect something let it not be your prayer life or your closeness to God. You can always leave dirty dishes in the sink. LOL,clara

Hi Clara, This is the 2nd hub of yours in less than a week that has affirmed something which I have been pondering on myself. Thank you for your devotions. Praise God that you are His vessel. God Bless.
