I Just Want To Thank You Lord!
Praise the Lord for this is the day that the Lord has made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
I just want to take this time and rejoice in God's goodness towards me, and to thank him from the bottom of my heart for his goodness and mercy. Thank you is something we don’t say much of especially to the Lord, but He’s to be thanked daily throughout the day for His goodness and mercy which is new everyday. My heart is grateful O Lord, and I want to say thank you for everything as i name my blessing one by one. You O Lord are a great, mighty, wonderful, awesome, faithful, miraculous, loving, righteous, holy and a most Sovereign God. You are way more than mere words can accurately portray, but for now please accept my limited knowledge of praise and thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving is a form of worship. There are 3 forms of worship: 1. Thanksgiving- we give thanks for what He is or has done. 2. Praise- is our adoration of Him. 3. Worship- is acknowledgement of who He is, and who He is to us.
God's children ought to want to praise Him, and enjoy praising Him. He loved us so fiercely that He gave us a precious and perfect gift; His only beloved son Jesus Christ. We are to take the time to meditate upon God’s goodness towards us, and be very personal with Him. Do not take Him or the things He is doing or has done for granted, for He is a Good and Faithful Father.
When you begin to thank God please let it be with sincerity of heart, and a genuine love for Him, do not let it be out of a sense of duty or obligation. Do it because you truly know Him to be the one you cannot live without; your Source, and the one who loves you unconditionally. Your heart felt tribute and adoration to Him touches His heart, and He will respond mightily to you. God loves our praises , thanksgiving and worship. If you desire to be in His presence and have a closer relationship with Him just start praising, giving thanks and the Holy Spirit will lead you into worship; believe me you will have an awesome experience with your Creator and Father
Go ahead and take some time and say Thank you Lord.
Open your mouth and begin to thank Him even if you don't feel like it, and little by little you will notice a change in your spirit. There will be a sweetness, and a peace in you. His love will bring a feeling of lightness, and it will replace the heaviness of your heart. An overwhelming joy will begin to wash over your soul in such an awesome way, and before you know it you will begin to reach deeper within yourself for more of Him. The Holy Spirit will lead you as you praise and worship God, and you will begin to give Him all you got. By the time you finish you will feel like a brand new person refreshed and rejuvenated. Whatever the situation or circumstances that's been bothering you it might not have changed at that moment in the natural, but trust me ,you changed it in the spiritual; God worked it for your good. Expect changes to unfold in your life.
Praising God; there is nothing like it in all the world. Try it; I guarantee you will love it.
The bible says in Psalm 37:4 "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desire of your heart." What does it mean to delight? Delight is to please God. What pleases God? Our Praise and Worship does..
We can all take a page from King David’s life; he was totally dedicated to God, and he had no problem letting it be known to the world. King David always thank, praise and worship God because he loved the Lord, he knew who God was to him, and he knew the benefits to worshiping God. I want to be more like David, because he was a man after God’s own heart. He delighted in God and God delighted in him; how awesome is that.
King David has a entire book dedicated to God in the bible; it is the book of Psalms. These psalms brings comfort, peace, and joy to our hearts. Can you imagine what it does to God's heart?
