I Must Like This...I Keep Doing It

Updated on November 15, 2011

If It Doesn't Work--Stop!

I have more clarity on some days than I do on others. Some days I can actually see how what I think and what I do affect my life. It doesn't end with me, though. It's how I am affecting your life, too. What is true for me is that I care about what your life is like. I want to do a lot to affect peoples' lives improving, but I have to stop and ask myself, "Who Made Me God?"

The answer to this question is God did. When I know this answer is true, I know this is the day to tell you I care about you and I want you to have the best life possible. In the words of Van Morrison, "There will be days like this", today I can reflect on the fact that I have a truly extraordinary life and make this small effort to support others' lives improving . I am happy every single day and I think about whether that might be the thing I would improve in the lives of others. My happiness comes from how I see things, what I say about myself and my life and the results of the actions I take. If we can all see how our lives are being designed by our thinking, we can work to change our thoughts and then move on to changing our actions.

Listen to what people around you are saying. Look at how their lives reflect what they have been saying. We tell everyone about our problems and issues. We complain about the results of our actions, yet we repeat the same actions over and over. We tell people about our physical limitations, our health issues. Now, not only do we believe we have these limitations, we have created a whole community of people who know us with these limitations. Notice that the same people complain to you about the same issues over and over again, but they never commit any time or energy to correcting the situation. How many people have you told what is wrong with you? How many people have you heard say what is wrong with them? How many times are we going to repeat the things that keep us from having a magnificent life? Is the misery worth it?

I think that God or the Universe or Consciousness, whatever the source of the Universe is, created us as 'Creators'. It is up to us to create the fulfillment of our greatest passions. Any words we say after the words "I Am" commit energy to the statement's fulfillment. Today, just as an experiment, ONLY say what you are commited to and refuse to hear others' complaints. If it worked today do it again the next day and the next day and the next day...
