I am glad I do not have

Updated on June 19, 2013

Think of it.

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4 New International Version

I am glad I never had and certainly now do not have everything I want. Because of this I have everything I need.

Think of it.

If I had a mansion for a home, no aches or pains, money coming out of my ears, a gorgeous babe that was a sex mink, a fancy sports car I wouldn’t need Jesus.

If I do not have Jesus I do not have what I need the most in my life. I do not have the most fantastic love life there is, a loving relationship with Jesus.

Whenever I have a need I come humbly to my King and ask. What He has taught me in many years of following Him is that He always supplies generously. He is abundantly generous with His spiritual gifts and opportunities to serve Him.

And you know what the end product of this is?

The most peace and joy you can experience nowhere else with no one else.

Poor people are those who only work to try to keep an expensive lifestyle, and always want more and more.’ José Mujica Uruguayan president gives his wages to the poor.

Prayer:Thank you Jehovah El Shaddai (God who is sufficient for the needs of His people) for all the marvelous abundance You so generously give to me day by day to meet all my needs. Thank you for revealing to me that the material things of this world are like comparing a starving man eating a piece of bread (material things) to a feast You have prepared for us (Gods blessings). I give thanks in the name of the most awesome gift You have given us Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

      Good morning teaches.

      Very wise of you.

I say there are two treasures. One is material riches that leaves you empty spiritually. One is spiritual which leads to a fullfilling life.

May God bless you with a fullfilling life.

I have learned through the past decade that material things do not matter when you consider how much more important it is to live a simple life before Christ. We discovered the blessing of giving from the heart and in material ways to others. Very good post and inspiring.

Different ways and wherefore the Lord shows me. I visit a few elderly folk and take them out cos they hardly ever get out of their environment. I give space on my land for homeless folk to stay. I donate to Open Doors for persecuted Christians. Offer lifts to folks who do not have transport - just wherever I become aware of a need. I see it as a blessed opportunity to serve Jesus.

      Good morning shofarcall.

That is very true. Even if we cannot give money we can give time. Here there is no place I feel comfortable giving money to but there is so many ways I give my time almost every day. How do you give?

May God bless you with many opportunities to share with others.

Hi teacherjoe, how true this is! And that is a very inspiring and uplifting bit of information concerning the Uruguayan president giving his wages to the poor. Great example. We could do with more like him on planet earth. Amen.
