I and the Father Are One
I and the Father are one.
We have a triune God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Three in one and one in all three. We have a plural God. This sometimes is difficult for some to grasp and understand but you must say to yourself that God can do and does do anything. He can be anywhere and everywhere at any time and at the same time. Omnipresent without our human limitations. Genesis 1:26. Then God said, "Let US make man in Our image, according to Our likeness. ..." This implies a plural God not a singular one. Again three in one and one in three. Also from John, In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. From John 10:30, I and the Father are one. Colossians 2:9 For in Him ( Jesus) dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. 1st John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in Heaven, the Father, the Word , and the Holy Ghost: and THESE THREE ARE ONE." Here is one where God the Father calls Jesus God. Hebrews1:8 But unto the Son God saith, "Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of thy kingdom." 1st John 4:10 "Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His son to be the propitiation for our sins." There are so many other references existing in the Old Testament ( pre-incarnate ) and the New Testament (Jesus among us ). Ultimately though without a savior to take on our sin none of us will ever make it. We simply cannot do it ourselves and we would remain in our sin. All of us would be stuck in our sin. We are not holy He is. We needed the perfect Lamb to take our sin away from us and that is what God supplies. Our God is magnificent and so very loving. The Godhead is the Father, the Son and the Spirit.
This inded is crucial to our salvation to understand that only the blood of the perfect lamb ( Jesus ) can save us from ourselves. He IS God ... The great I AM, the King of kings and The Lord of lords. He tells the apostles, " When you have seen Me you have seen the Father." No one comes to the Father except through the Son. Not a single person. No amount of good works or any other earthly thing will ever save you. Jesus and only Jesus saves. You would die in your sins and could not possibly gain Heaven. Jesus alone saves us. He is the way, the truth and the life. He alone is our hope. He alone is our salvation. He is the hope of the world. Get to know Him and do things His way instead of your way. God saves so let Him save you. It will make all of the difference in the world when you give him the reins so to speak to guide your life.
The only way to the Father is through the Son. The one and only way. What an amazing, incredible and loving God that we have........ Wow! He is amazing. What a wonderful blessing!
God bless you always.
