Human beings will become extinct like the Dinosaurs

Updated on September 29, 2013

Is our days numbered on Earth? You be the judge

Humanity definitely has an end coming to it, but not the world itself in my humble opinion, I also think that we are far to cocky, when it comes to our overall view of things as a whole. Whether it be coming directly from the scientific perspective, a religious perspective, a modern or ancient philosophy etc... many humans have grown extremely arrogant, and self centered for the most part, when it comes to who's more important in all of existence.

If such an occurrence is to happen, as that of the entire human race some day going extinct, I prefer not to be here when it does.

Many of us think so selfishly at times, when it comes to human beings compared to that of other species and walks of life on the planet earth. Just look at how many of the belief systems worldwide of today's world have made things out to be, and for those who've chosen to live by its teachings.

Most differing religious groups and non-religious groups all portraying things to be the actual truth, and nothing but it, covering subjects from creation stories to the worlds end saga, but by actually putting human importance above all else & above all the other many more significant things that come into play in our very existence on planet earth.

The most logical question would be, why be so ignorant to the facts that we aren't the most important creatures on this planet or that have been in existence, if so why are we so corrupted, or corruptible when it comes to respecting ones outer and inner nature.

Those who began these groups of followers years back mostly placed major emphasis on our after life, and in terms of our human views alone. (Example: All the stories of human struggles portrayed via biblical means, scientific, and in our historical records). The funny thing is archeology never lies, no matter what humans tend to conjure up in the form of writings or information to share amongst one another, the truth lies in them ancient bones or evidence, and artifacts, when things of a mass extinction level event actually occurs.

This has been pretty unfair, mostly because our earthly knowledge we possess, as well as perspectives we have amounted over the centuries are solely based on human terminology and interpretation of what we see or have labeled as such. (What a moral dilemma of sorts indeed)

For the Love of Green Paper, over the love of much greener pastures

Money has been the motivation for centuries but put a dent on things, greed has taken over much of everything via human desires to obtain more
Money has been the motivation for centuries but put a dent on things, greed has taken over much of everything via human desires to obtain more

Over confidence & greed hurt us in a huge way, just look at the environment, and our overall health today!

The love of money, power and control today has posed some grave issues for humanity. Exhausting precious non renewable resources, and creating a great deal of waste lands takes a toll on the environment we depend on. This way of continual blatant ignorance of what's truly important, which obviously is the natural world, cannot go on indefinitely.

Living by means of selfish pride at times, and arrogance towards the environment & other species in general, will surely bring an end to our earthly dominion here, and especially the human control over the vast resources of this world & in due time.

I feel that the human species, surely will not last forever, but the earth and all the rest of its inhabitants shall flourish for millions, or even billions of years to come. I think we will also suffer such a fate as the dinosaurs have, and to actually visualize our very own extinction someday, is pretty morbid, but a reality to come to terms with possibly, just as it is when the death of a single person occurs so suddenly and without warning.

Imagine Rocks without us standing next to it, Yikes not cool

Human beings have only been on this planet for a total of 200,000 years approximately, so why would we count more than all of creation?
Human beings have only been on this planet for a total of 200,000 years approximately, so why would we count more than all of creation?

To end or not to end that is the Question?

Now this inevitable end of human life on earth is highly probable, due to the countless mass extinction events that have already occurred over and over again. When the end comes to happens for us though, it will surely not be at the worlds end itself, but it will be the end for our human kind for sure. This will all one day eventfully bring rise to a new beginning, a life that's renewed for entirely new species to thrive off from on this planetary system, which is the true God cycle of life or the universal.

Come to think of it, this reality is also revealed especially when you look much more deeply into things, by seeing the going trend of mass extinctions and rebirths as a whole, which spreads itself across the billions of years this planet has been in its orbit. Our planet bears life off and onto it in repeated cycles, while maintaining a varying degree of life sustaining atmospheric pressures, that sway in differing degree from time to time & depending on how the food chain has also been cycling its chemical equilibrium.

Many species go Extinct why should humans be exempt from such a universally known reality

Notes on Extinction

Its been a great deal of time that's past since the dinosaur's roamed the earth (According to wikipedia about 65 million years ago, Mesozoic Era), and if it wouldn't have been for the change in life cycles and evolutionary change that our genetics as creatures of this planet are set out to do over time, these huge Jurassic barbarians would have still been ruling this planet.

Thank god for the evolutionary process, growth and decay, gases, and chemical exchange, or the mass transfer of one thing to the next (to and fro), we all were able to arrive here safely as earthly inhabitants, and we literally named ourselves the title of "Human being".

This must be how our humble beginnings on earth, truly went down years ago, & as soon as we began to transcribe things, collect information, gather resources, develop tools, weaponry, and eventually formulate words from shapes as well as symbols, we once carved onto walls of caves and rocks, as young surviving creatures, or as they've once put it by savage minds.

Are Human beings exempt from extinction some how?

Humanity has been through the wringer of sorts and back, and the time is dawning upon us when all of our accomplishments are beginning to backfire on us all, which was always inevitable due to the fact that universally all things that have a beginning will also have an end point to it. Bringing rise to yet another life cycle or great birth of living things that seem to burst into action.

This can be proven in so many ways, and by studying anything living on this planet that has had a life cycle period, both things that lived and have passed away entirely also known as gone extinct, just to make room for something else to take its place.

If all species are to die on this planet some day, well there would be yet another growth spurt to occur, mainly because this is the way the universe functions, by the guided hands of our creator, whether you believe in such a continual process or not. It is how the world came into being in the first place, God definitely has his way with things, and on massive scales of proportions, both seen and unseen as well as in the microcosm or lower ended invisible view of things.

We all have something in Common here folks it cannot be denied

We are only Mammals

We seem to forget some how that being a human also means that we are part of the animal kingdom, and we have mammalian glands just as a cat, a dog, a dolphin, a horse, an elephant, and so many other clearly distinctive differing mammals.

This is an utterly undeniable fact to how vulnerable we all are, and all it would take, is for a massive blanket of carbonic gases in huge volumes from volcanic ash or soot, to cover the entire surface of the globe overnight, and many of us will not reawaken to see another day.

This is one of the many basic theories, that a hand full of modern scientist have believed to have been the cause of, the numerous mass extinction level events, which have actually occurred millions of years ago, including that of the dinosaurs. Human beings have a great deal to learn about life, and surely until that time comes to pass for our end times on earth. Who knows when such an occurrence is due to show, its rare an ugly face again.

Yes indeed Ozzaie, we are to darn cocky to see the truth staring us all right in the face, and for some reason I think it really doesn't matter if we did or not realize such a potential reality. We will definitely see in due time though, maybe a 1000 years from now or maybe 10,000 who knows right!

I think some new epidemic will take out the human population.I also think the earth will go back the way it was before humans.

Thanks @Lord de cross for visiting & for reading, yes it is a highly debatable topic for sure.

I figured why not attempt at answering a cool question, I'm not sure though if the question someone had asked, got deleted or not. I cannot locate the link here for some odd reason, but oh well.

Debatable topic and well written Cloud. We see and we think it will happen one day. The signs are alarming and can we turn the tide? Our great grand kids will tell.

Thanks @Gypsy Rose Lee, humanity hopefully will learn some day, the good thing is we are headed the right direction in terms of health nowadays, judging by all the health info floating around now.

Lets just hope more people begin to follow suit, and maybe it can buy us another million years on earth or more. Thanks for visiting, and I'm glad you enjoyed this hub of mine.

Voted up and interesting. I do believe we are slowly destroying ourselves what with pollution and destroying nature and what not. I still think it is a good and sentimental thought to stop and smell the roses. Thanks for sharing this thought provoking hub and yes the world in whatever form will keep on spinning.

Change is the dictum of the world. And surely humans will change into another form, if not extinct.

Hey @Gusser, its my honest attempt answer a good question some one had asked in the Q&A area, but unfortunately I leaned towards the middle view as my answer, where I neither want to see the end, or care to see it myself.

I think its not possible for the world to end entirely, but if it was to occur that, human existence on earth were to someday end, then I think it would happen over night pretty much, mainly because carbon grows thicker at nighttime in its overall % of concentration.

Thanks for the visit, I give your hubs a look too see you soon.

Glad to see you believe the earth will go on without us. Now I can quit thinking about all that global warming scare and relax in knowing the planet survives in spite of what Al Gore says.

Hey there Billybuc, nice to see you made it here so soon, yes man life is a beach for sure, and us humans have made a big mess in our global playpen of sorts.

Lets hope we all go out with grace, and smoothly rather than another big bang! LOL. I love life though even though at times it can be so cruel to us creatures here, who live & thrive like squirrels while just trying to get a nut all the time. Hehe...

Yessir! We are only mammals with a very exaggerated sense of our own greatness! We need to downsize our ego and learn humility soon! Great hub and food for thought.
