I will make you

Updated on December 20, 2012

The two sides of the coin.

“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 4:20 New International Version

First Jesus calls you. You must wait until Jesus calls you before you go into service. If Jesus isn’t calling and you go, you will fail. Do not depend upon your own “gut feelings”. They will always lead to frustration and failure. Most of us have to be molded into the type of servant Jesus wants us to be to perform the service He has prepared us to be. It can take years.

Looking back I can see it took Him fifteen years of molding before being able to have me ready for my calling (slow learner huh?).

The other side is I will make you.

Once we have committed to Jesus He will give us a vision, not necessarily a visual but most times a slow understanding of your calling.

Again it took Him two years of working me into the type of servant He has prepared me to be, so be patient. In this time we gain confidence in our calling and His promises to provide the tools necessary to accomplish this calling.

Prayer: Thank you Jehovah Elohim(The Eternal Creator) for calling me into Your inspiring service and for molding me into the servant You intended me to be. I give thanks in the name of the greatest servant Jesus Christ. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.

TeacherJoe, this has been my journey as well. It has been a slow but upward growth in my walk of faith. Looking back, I can see where Jesus has has his hand upon my life to make me a stronger person today. Blessings, friend.

      Good morning Jackie.

Yes, I agree, when we submit to Christ He leads us on the journey He has prepared for us.

      Good morning Eric.

Does not loving mean taking an action? Pehaps that was implied by Jackie.

May God bless you both with His action of divine love.

Jackie, God gave us more than that, we should respect it. I do not know of a single Jesus miracle where they did not do the footwork first, by friends or alone. Just loving does not get you a slice of bread.

Just love our savior Jesus Christ and He will lead us, indeed.

Great hub. How Long! I cry. But with each new revelation I find a temperance and understanding. On Mondays I cry how long. On Sundays I quiver and declare I am not ready. So hard to teach young people but worth every second.

      Thanks for hug.
