IF I HAD 3 WISHES, I WOULD WISH FOR...
If I had three wishes, I would wish for spiritual virtues of faith, hope and love.
These wishes may sound absurd to many, but these may give a lift to the spirit of the downtrodden few. With almost everything around us being acquired and achieved in an instant, the virtues of persistence, patience, and peaceful dealings are not practiced anymore.
Faith...is to believe ...to trust something that is not physically evident. Faith is believing even without seeing it. Faith will us make able to please the Lord each day. We do not see God, but we believe of His presence in our lives.
I wish for FAITH, for it is through this virtue that I will learn to let go of things I have no control of; to live each day without knowing what surprises it may bring to me at the end of the day; to breath the gift of life, uncertain if I'll be lucky enough to live another day; to simply entrust to God everything that I do...I wish for faith not just for me, but as well as for you...
Hope...is to experience life in a lifeless situation; to be able to see a glimpse of light in a tunnel of darkness; to be able to see something positive out of an unfortunate situation.
I wish for hope that we may have the courage to go on despite the daily tedious toils in life; that we hold on to someone's promise, no matter how long will it take to fulfillment; and that we experience gladness of heart despite problems around us.
I wish for love to be fully manifested in our day to day living. That we promise to give a little dose of love each day we live. And that we do everything out of love.
A simple hug; a little note of comfort tugged in a books; a smile; a prayer offered for somebody; a call to a friend - and many other simple things that we took for granted - let's begin to express and do them with love.
