The Seven Seals, A Guide to Judgment.
Only the LAMB is WORTHY
Now The Future Begins to Unveil Before John Eyes
From dreadful fear when confronted with the glorified King of Kings to overwhelming awe; John is about to embark on the most incredible journey that any living man has ever or will ever take: to see what God will bring upon creation and mankind. The capstone of all prophecy, for this is the gift of what God the Father wants His Bride and His people to know about the SON.
First things first: the foreknowledge of a perfectly sovereign God, that ALL things will proceed and END according to His will. As we shall see, judgment does NOT begin until the 144,000 are sealed and the LAMB has opened the 7th seal. Now on to seals 1 through 4.
White, Red, Black and YES a Green Horse
SEALS 1 through 4 - the Horsemen
caveat: some people hold to the seals being 7 separate judgments and as a popular book series put forth, the earthquakes of seal 6 and bowl 7 are two separate events. Unless god is planning to resurrect the mountains and islands of seal 6 so that he can destroy them again with bowl 7, they are the exact same event. again notice the scroll: it cannot be read until all 7 seals are broken. Think of the seals as a type of "table of contents" for that which john will witness and testify for our benefit. on to the horsemen.
Notice first that at each of the breaking of the first four seals, the riders are "introduced" by the four living beings from around the throne. The super godly announce the super ungodly. Everything will bring glory to God, some by godliness, others in judgment. What John now sees; now hears; He writes.
The White Horse and Its Rider - This NOT Jesus - it is the Antichrist. Seal 6 alone demonstrates that Christ is in heaven and when He comes all eyes shall see Him. Death and famine will not follow Him, for when He comes, He IS death for the wicked. The crown of the rider is a stephanos - a laurel for a victor; Jesus wears a diadem - the crown of a King. The "white" horse and the "stephanos" are a deception, a tool of the Antichrist to fool the wicked. Another thing; this rider went about conquering and per the KJV "to conquer". The Greek for "to" is actually hina - with the intent of which makes a better reading of the passage to be "that he might conquer." Jesus has already conquered death; there is NO "might" about it when He comes in judgment. As we shall see, the Scripture is very clear that the man who be the Antichrist will be very very active before the 70th week of Daniel begins.
The Red Horse and Its Rider - This is the great red dragon of Revelation 12; Satan himself. It is important to get this one element straight in your mind; the Antichrist and the devil have two totally separate destiny's to fulfill in God's perfect plan. Satan will not indwell the Antichrist; that task will be fulfilled by "a player to named later." (Hint: keep track of the colors.) In this case, the devil is out to be worshiped and he will share that privilege NO other being in creation. Notice that he doesn't even have his own sword but that one is given to him. God supplied the sword and the devil, much to his chagrin, will carry out the will of the Father to perfection.
The Black Horse and Its Rider - Famine is his name and who he is would involve pure speculation. The scales in his hand are not the scales of justice but of injustice. The poor will have a choice; to spend a days wage (denarius) for a single healthy meal or for 3 meals consisting of livestock fodder. This truly is the tale of the haves versus the have-nots, for the oil and wine will be plentiful for the rich or in this case, those who will eventually take the mark. The incentive will be; be hungry or give in to the beast. A very hard but defining choice that will play out forever. This rider is restricted by God as test for mankind. For you and I it is easy to walk down the aisle, claim Jesus as Savior, even get baptized because there is NO personal cost. In many countries as you read this blog, the cost for truly claiming Christ as Savior is astronomical: hunger, imprisonment, torture and even death. During the last half of the 70th week, death of a martyr is what awaits who choose Jesus. God is forcing hard choices to be made and what's so incredible, a "countless" number will make the right choice.
The Green Horse and its Rider - Yes green NOT pale, the picture above has it right. The Greek is chloros - green, the basis of our word chlorophyll - green color matter found in plants and trees. John knew exactly what he saw and though strange reported it perfectly. The rider's name is Death but he has a partner in his crime by the name of Hades - the place of the dead. Verse 8 - "And power was given unto THEM, to kill....". Whoever this unholy duo is "allowed" to kill by war or violence, by famine, by pestilence or disease and with the beasts of the earth will be consigned immediately to "the place of the eternally dead", Hades itself. It is important to remember that Death has no power over the redeemed, for as the 5th seal is opened the martyrs are in heaven. The Antichrist will be given the authority to kill the body of those who love our Lord unto the death, but Death and Hades do not have that authority. What a mess this world will be; 1/4 of the earths population will die and be sent to hell at the hands of these two. I can feel questions starting to arise in people's hearts but that is the purpose of this blog; to make one think.
The seals 1 through 4 opened by the Lamb and announced by the four living beings will allow the 4 horsemen to have their God given authority for the entire 70th week. Seal 5, the martyrs, is the description of the righteous and their incredible faith for the last half of the seven year period. Seal 6 is the preview of Revelation 16, the final and full wrath of God Almighty. Seal 7 stands in a class all by itself.
?WHAT ABOUT? - THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING SUN
To quote evolutionist, Dr. John Eddy of the High Altitude Observatory in Bolder, Colorado; "I suspect that the sun is 4.5 billion years old. However, given some new and unexpected results to the contrary and some time for frantic readjustment, I suspect that we could live with Bishop Ussher's figure for the age of the earth and sun (approximately 6,000 years). I don't think we have much in the way of observational evidence in astronomy to conflict with that."
This is really cool to watch!!
The SUN Challenge
Since 1836, the sun, a self-consuming star of "lower" class, has been measured shrinking at the rate of 6 feet per hour or 10 miles per year; the radius being at 5 miles/year. What does this mean?
- 18,600,000 years ago the sun surface would fill the earth's orbit.
- 1,000,000 years ago the sun would be double it's present size, life on earth would not be possible.
- 4,000,000,000 years ago our solar system would have been engulfed by ONE lower class star.
Keeping this in mind; what conclusion will you have concerning the following statements?
- Our sun is only one of "trillions" of stars and they are all self-consuming, so just imagine how the universe would appear 4 billion years ago.
- The earth is held in its orbit by a perfect balance between our centrifugal force and the sun's gravitational / magnetic influence; our survival hangs in the balance.
- We know that sun flares can cause havoc here on earth and the book of Revelation describes the ultimate scorching power of the sun; life on this planet is in a very precarious position when it comes to the sun.
- The sun consists of 99.9% hydrogen and helium and 0.1% trace elements of oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, silicon, magnesium, neon, iron and sulfur. Per the "big bang" the earth was a "spin-off" from our sun. Per NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center these are the only 10 elements known to exist in the sun. The latest periodic table of elements added number 118, Ununoctium: from where did the other 108 elements we have identified suddenly appear?
