If Anyone is in Christ, He is a New Creation

Updated on April 13, 2014

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 2 Corinthians 5:17

I remember when I first accepted Christ I saw things in a different way. Before I was saved I didn’t think that my grandma swore, but I then noticed that she used the Lord’s name in vain. I never really noticed before. I also felt a kind of elated feeling. I felt like Jesus had his arms around me and I felt loved, blessed and accepted. He took the worldly desires away and filled me with love. It all sounds so nice right? I know that not everyone has these kinds of experiences when they accept Christ as their Savior, but I did.

Unfortunately, the feeling kinds of wears out or at least it did for me and this is when I could only go by faith. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1. Imagine if Jesus’ grace wore out? Thankfully, it never does. We can’t always go by our feelings. If we always went by our feelings we wouldn’t even go to work half the time. We have to just keep going. We become a new creation and the old has passed away, but we have to continue in Christ for the new to be renewed. Renew your faith daily and pray for spiritual renewal.

Yes, Jesus makes all things new. I don't watch the things I used to watch and when people take the Lord's name in vain, I cringe. If it's someone in my family, I'll say something to them. What amazes me is the stuff people watch on TV. Even if the shows are halfway decent, the commercials are horrible. We are living in the days as before Noah, just like Jesus said.

      Well done and well put.

Thank you Sky321, It is the Power of the resurrection of Christ that delivers us from sin.

God saved all mankind and set them free, but not everyone chooses to be free. Happy Easter and God bless you all.
