If God Gives You A Talent

Updated on October 26, 2011

If God Gives You A Talent

If God  has  given you a talent , start using it today ,

For in a twinkling of His Eye,He can take it all away.

Don't ever think a talent has a lifetime guarantee,

But the more that you use it the better it should be.

God gives us a talent to be used not hidden away,

Not buried deep inside where it may mold or decay.

The  gifts that come from God are for a needy heart

And if we will use them wisely  they will not depart.

What many folks are searching for they know not what

But God's Gifts may show what they long have sought.

A chosen word could  very well satisfy a thirsty soul..

For with God's Love in it  He can make a being whole.

So if you have a talent ,though it may be very small,

You must use it very wisely and let it be shared by all..

Just thank The Lord for the Gift He has sent your way,

We may not know the good it was  until  Judgment Day !

***************************************************************

When God gives you a Gift did you ever wonder

why ?when no one else thinks it is a talent, maybe

just a waste of time when there were other  things

waiting for your attention and there you are doing

nothing that really amounted to anything..Perhaps

It looks like wasted time but if God gives it to you

you had better not just forget it ,If you do ,God

will remind you ,After all ,God should come first

and only He knows why the talent was given to

you and someday you will know ,too., and I am

sure you will be very thankful to God , you never

know when you will touch a needy heart . Only

God knows !

Stephen, Thanks for your nice comment.I just always wrote for myself for years , just because poems kept coming to me , but for many years now I have just written poems that I hope will get to peoples hearts, I shouldn't say I wrote because if god doesn't give me a message there is no reason to try to write it then,it has to come from God ,My youngest son name is ,stephen, too, Thank you, Clara

dahoglund, I have never tried to make a living from writing ,I just always wrote because I liked to.I was 8 when I wrote my first poem. I wish I had kept it . It had the longest lines I think in history but they rhymed .I don't remember writing any more for a few years .I never showed them to anyone except my best friend. Never thought I would be writing where it would be going all over,Thank you so much for your comment and votes .Hope you visit again Clara

nybride, thank you for your comment, i really appreciate every one that I receive. It is so nice to hear from people that have been touched by a poem that I have written,I have written for many years but it was just that I wanted to write, not for a career just for me , then I started to write for some folks who had troubles and I would send them to let them know that I cared. Now I am here.Clara

I totally agree however, it is an ideal that did not go well with trying to make a living. It is a philosophy I often find people scorn.voted up and useful.

I agree. For too many years I wasted my writing talent and tried to ignore it altogether. Fortunately, I can now support myself online. Not only that, I receive emails from people every week who are touched by something I have written.
