If Jesus Walked This Earth Today

Updated on November 28, 2011

If Jesus Walked This Earth Today

If Jesus walked  on this earth today,

I wonder what the people would do.

Could they, would they really believe

That Jesus and His Mission was true?

Would they believe He was a vagrant,

Or was just a troublemaker at the best ?

Would they come and pay Him homage,

Would they accept His Peace and Rest?

If man could really see The Lord today

Would love flow  deep within their heart?

Would they turn their back as others did,

For of God's Son they would want no part.?

Why is it so hard  now for man to believe

That The Lord  dwells within our heart?

They can't accept Love and Forgiveness.

For the man of today is much too smart.

Today's man is really  so weak and wise

Just like the Bible told how he would be.

I guess if Jesus walked this earth today

Men would refuse  Love pure and free!

I was just thinking ,I wonder how we

would act if we met Jesus on the street

today, We believe Jesus and all that

He stands for,but we certainly would

not expect to meet Him on the street

or are we close enough to Him that

we would  know Him any time or any

place without a shadow of a doubt?

Maybe we better draw closer now

than we have ever been!

zzron, At least we won't have to worry about that , When He comes back again everyone will know who He is, and how they will wish that they had believed when they had a chance: even those with the hardest hearts will cry but it will be too late. That will be the saddest time on earth then .They will know where they are going ,too late for regrets now. clara

Very beautiful and thought-provoking. A very good question how people would respond today. It really makes you wonder.

Perspycacious,Thanks for your comments.I don't believe I had ever heard of the young man that you spoke of .I hope he is still doing good ,that nothing has happened to him, we need some young people like that.A young person like that could do a lot toward getting the young to Christ , at least I would think so .Thanks for telling me .clara

I seem to remember that a young man was reported on perhaps 12-15 years ago for his actions resembling some of the ministering of Christ. He was apparently regarded simply as a curiosity and has long since faded from public view.
