I’m back!

I’m really glad that I took the time to focus on how to write for the web. While this class was more for writing content on websites, I still got a lot out of the class. Now I can get back to writing and encouraging all of you, my readers, to pray for God’s mission in your local context. My hope is that you continued to pray for the mission even when you didn’t get a blog from me. Remember, we are not doing our own mission, but God’s place for us in His mission. I’m excited for what God has in store for me next. I’m thankful for each of you for being part of my job in God’s mission. Now, sit back and gain an understanding of what I learned so you can continue to pray for me and God’s mission in your world.

What do you need?

One of things that I’ve been thinking about since my class is what are you, the readers, looking to learn about prayer. If you are slightly daring, make a comment in the comment section and let me know. If you are a ministry leader, certainly let me know what would be helpful from me to help you lead in teaching on prayer for God’s mission. I really want to know. Also, you will notice that I have a few polls on this hub, so let me know what it is that you want to learn about prayer. I even want to hear suggestions of ways to pray that I have never heard about. That would give me a reason to learn more.

One thing I plan on doing is talking with my Pastors about what they see are needs in our church and in other churches. I might even put together a survey for Pastors to fill out. Please be praying for me as I learn how I can help others use prayer as fuel for God’s mission.

Keep on Reading

Great writers read a lot! So, I will continue to press in reading blogs, books, and anything else I might find out there about God’s mission and prayer. If you know of anything out there I can get my hands on (or subscribe to), just let me know.

I’m so glad that I like to read. Now I just need to find time to read. So, please be praying for me to find the time to read more on the topic of prayer.

And if I find anything that is worthwhile that others have written, I will forward that along via my Facebook page and Twitter account. You can find these by searching Dave the Prayer Guy.

The interesting things about reading these blogs that I find on prayer, is, not only do I like to read some really good pieces of writing, but I learn more about prayer while doing it. As I learn more about prayer, I get to think about how these new ways of praying can help fuel God’s mission. That’s what it comes down to!

The Prayer List

One of the things I learned was how on-line readers really don’t read, they scan. One thing I can do to help with scanning is to have a list. So, this hub’s list are ways you can pray for me.

  • My writing skills to become better.

  • I will learn what Christians need to learn about prayer so they can use prayer as fuel for God’s mission.

  • My personal prayer life will become deep and wide as I seek God’s calling on my life and discovering His idea of missional prayer.

  • I will wait on God’s timing for the fullness of my calling.

  • I would incorporate ways that all people wanting to read my blog will be able to get the information.

  • Pray for God’s mission in your local context, because this world needs saving and God is in the business of saving.

My Prayer for all of You

A Look Ahead

I will continue to write about this important topic and seek God in all of it. Will you join me in this journey? Will you pray for God’s mission? Will you also be a part of God’s mission? It is going to be a great journey! Stay tuned for a hub about how to pray missionally at Christmas time.
