In Him We Live: Not I

Updated on May 24, 2015

“For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.” Galatians 2:19-21

There is a clear word of spirit resting upon the ear of God’s sons and daughters, who are hearing the Spirit say, via that eagle eye prophet of old, “Alas, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters (the word that flows), and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price” (Isaiah 55:1).

It is an invitation to partake of the LIVING WATER, the WINE OF THE SPIRIT, the PURE MILK OF THE WORD, the ETERNAL BREAD OF GOD, and you don’t have to pay for it, because it was paid for IN HIM!

Our confidence rest in the provision that was made in the Eternal One, that you and I can be partakers of His oneness, sitting at the table that is spread with ALL OF HIS ETERNAL SUBSTANCE, awaiting our consumption. Isn’t it funny how that in the systems of men, when there is an alive word, so they say, that we are summoned to purchase it, yet, our Lord says, this ALIVE WORD that HE IS, is free to be experienced by those who will dare pursue after it. In the King James, Isaiah 55:1 begins with the word “Ho”, which is an interjection that is comparable to a passionate cry of grief or despair, in other words, this is a prophetic lamentation. Isaiah presents us with a sorrow filled cry to pursue after the life that is life, and after the bread that is bread.

There are messages after messages that emanate from pulpits Sunday after Sunday, proclaiming to be the bread of life, when it is not that bread. THE BREAD OF GOD IS HE, the TRUE BREAD which comes down from the Father, a BREAD that comes down into our desolation, into our sorrow, into our lack, into our pain, into our loneliness, to strip our wanting souls from the lean years of carnality that it might be delighted in fatness.

Too many preachers, and teachers serve up the dish of showmanship, exciting the souls of men with entertainment, for them (the depleted souls), only to find that it WAS NOT THAT BREAD.

Dear soul, Christ is THE WAY, THE TRUTH and THE LIFE, and I declare boldly unto you that there is nothing else that can sustain you: not houses, not land and not cars. Have you had your fill of the prosperity gospel, which is a message of building bigger barns? Have you grown tired of doing all you can to ensure that your retirement nest egg is in place, when our Lord, says come TASTE AND SEE THAT HE IS GOOD? Have you had your fill of hearing men selling you a gospel that is not the gospel of the kingdom? Hearken unto the bellowing cry to come buy WITHOUT MONEY, that essential life that is available to all that will partake BY FAITH.

I simply love the language of the Father, and the foolish way in which He talks to us. He speaks through His prophet for us to BUY WITHOUT MONEY. Is that even possible in a commercialized world of buying and selling? What store do you know of that will just let you walk in and fill your shopping cart with all that you can take and leave without paying?

Yet, the Lord compels us to do just that!

The instruction is to BUY WITHOUT MONEY, which means only one thing, Isaiah’s lamentation is for us to purchase this bread, this wine, this milk, with the CURRENCY OF FAITH. Now it looks like we are on to something, we are learning what it takes to approach God, and to be partakers of HIS DIVINE NATURE. The apostle Paul says, “…I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God…” - Paul says that he has been, not will be, HE HAS BEEN, crucified with Christ; - he simply states that his experience is THAT HE IS ALREADY CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST, in other words, he has begun his journey into ONENESS.

Galatians 2:20 is a faith walk into oneness in Christ. For many of us this is hard to fathom, because we find it far more easy to embrace the experiences of this outer shell, the husk and illusion of what we believe ourselves to be, more than the fact that we HAVE BEEN PLANTED IN THE LIKENESS OF HIS DEATH.

For far too long, we have idolized the death of Christ on the cross, but it is high time that we experience it. In order for us to KNOW HIS LIFE, we must embrace the teaching of HIS DEATH (see Romans 6:6).

Leviticus 17:10, “And whatsoever man (Adam) there be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even SET MY FACE AGAINST THAT SOUL that eateth blood, and will cut him off from among his people.”

Leviticus 17:11, “For the life of the flesh is IN THE BLOOD: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

We must arrive at the fountain of blood, which flowed from Immanuel’s veins, by faith, with this understanding: CHRIST EMPTIED HIMSELF of life, for us that he might ATONE for us! He became our offering for sin that we, the scapegoat, would be free from bearing the judgment WE DESERVED!

We too must empty ourselves of THIS WORLD and be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of our minds, and have an attitude that it is ordained of God the Father, that we will see ourselves as equal with God, by way of the Christ. Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen; beloved this is not about acquiring houses, land and cars, but it is about POSSESSING YOUR SOUL to be in sync with THE CHRIST!

People often scarf at the idea of having such a union with God the Father, believing that only in death can such an oneness be experienced. To believe this way deprives you and me of the JOY OF OUR SALVATION! Everyone rips and raves about dying and going to heaven, so they can be with the Lord. Beloved, you are already with the Lord, if you understand this oneness that you are called to partake of HERE AND NOW!

Paul says, for you are DEAD – THE ADAM LIFE is no more!

When Christ died on that wooden cross, you died WITH HIM, yet religion teaches you that you have to do this, or do that, when the only thing you are required to do in the realm of effort is to simply BUY YOUR ONESNESS WITH THE CURRENCY OF FAITH!

Note, nowhere does the scriptures say, He that comes to God must be a CHURCH MEMBER, it says HE THAT COMES TO GOD MUST BELIEVE THAT HE IS AND THAT HE IS A REWARDER OF HIM THAT DILLIGENTLY SEEKS HIM.

Hear this again, you must believe THAT HE IS…and THAT HE IS…beloved you must have confidence in the I AM-NESS of God. Only HE can produce HIS divine life within you, religion only serves to CONDITION THE OUTER SHELL to appear righteous, however THE LORD OF HEAVEN, clothes us with RIGHTEOUSNESS.

The trickery of religion teaches us all the things we must do to acquire heaven, and little on what it takes to acquire HIM! Please, with great lamentation, HEAR PAUL, say to your awakening soul, “…it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

Why are you shouting outside of yourself for this blessed Savior to appear, when HE is IN YOU?

If you understand anything from this lesson, it needs to be that everything that we are resides in our connection to THE SON. No man comes unto the Father but by THE SON, the only begotten of the Father, who paved the way (THE STREET OF GOLD) within us to travel until we BEHOLD HIM FACE TO FACE, meaning that our face must become HIS FACE. Beloved when He was nailed to the cross, you were nailed to the cross, when He was placed in the tomb, you were placed in the tomb, when he was raised from the dead, you too were raised from the dead: “For in that HE died, he DIED ONCE UNTO SIN: but in that he liveth, HE LIVETH (continues to live) UNTO GOD.

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to dead indeed unto sin, BUT ALIVE UNTO GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof” (Romans 6:10-12).

We have been teaching this thing all wrong, therefore, highlighting when we come to God, the importance of BELIEVING. You can’t begin to pay enough tithes, attend enough church, or do enough good deeds to be impacted by the life available in Him; you must simply take the word as it is.

No wonder apostle Paul, by inspiration of the spirit writes this truth in Romans 1:16-17: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to EVERY ONE that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from FAITH TO FAITH: as it is written, ‘The just shall live by faith.’”

Movement in the kingdom, is about being awakened to the MIND OF CHRIST that is every bit contained in the verse, “I BESEECH you therefore brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the RENEWING OF YOUR MIND, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Your movement is about becoming awakened in your thought life about God’s viewpoint of you – RIGHT NOW! I will talk more about this in our next lesson: FOR IN HIM: WE MOVE.

Misapplied Faith

The bible clearly teaches us that true faith is THE SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR, AND THE EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN. Hope is the expectancy for something that you do not readily have in your possession as being actualized, yet, because of FAITH, you actualize it (THE THING HOPED FOR) as being EVIDENCED.

This is very true of our life in Him, our movement in Him and our possession of being.

We may look in our natural mirrors and view the carnal misrepresentation of ourselves as our reality, but when we look ever so intently beyond that image, we will see the evidence of Christ in us, through us, over us and reigning AS US!

We have been taught by the venomous message of pulpit religion to have a tomorrow hope of change, when Christ has made such a change available to us NOW. When Christ deals with us, he deals with us in the light of HIS GLORY! It is in the light of what HE has accomplished that we should proclaim Him as THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS, for He has covered us in a way that no form of religion can.

While religion fills us with self-effort, Christ is seated upon the Throne of our hearts beckoning us to simply direct our faith toward what HE has established for us. My friend you are not going to get the victory, you are the victory!

Your healing, your deliverance, your abundance and so much more, resides in the Christ! For too long we have had Santa Clause salvation, believing that our God deals with us on the basis of our performance. If we are good, HE (God) will do good things toward us, if we are bad, the, HE (God) will punish us through His anger.

Christ enable us, when HE said, “NEVERTHELESS!” Therefore my beloved isn’t time that you stop settling for THE LESS, and put NEVER in front of it, and simply begin to identity with THE FINISH work of Christ? Cease from the pity party that humanity indulges in and begin to HOLD FAST TO THE PROFESSION OF YOUR FAITH and declare that you are ALIVE IN HIM, because HE LIVES IN YOU, AND THROUGH YOU!
