In Times of Troubles

Updated on March 13, 2017

We sometimes feel troubled either small or big things. In today's lesson we will learn about

" The Three Important Questions in Times of Troubles". We can see it in the Bible text, 2 Corinthians 4: 16-18.

According to 2 Corinthians 4: 16-18, we should never lose heart. On our outer self we are wasting it but our inner self is renewed day by day if we continue on reading the Bible. We tend to look for the things that are seen and overlook the things which are not unseen. For the things that are seen are temporary but the things unseen are eternal.

Here are the 3 Important Questions that we should consider on thinking.

1. Are you still living Peacefully

Yes, we can say that we can have a peaceful life after a storm but do we really feel at peace?Or we believe only with the word peace? According to Romans 12:12, Let's be joyful with hope, be patient with hardships and be faithful in prayer.

The peace that I am talking about is being contented with what we have. Let us be contented even if we are troubled in every circumstances

Supporting verses: Romans: 5:3," Troubles produces Endurance

: Psalms, 34:19, Psalms 55:22, " Leave your troubles with the Lord".

: Acts 14:22," We must pass through many troubles", Yes indeed because we are Christ partakers.

2. Are you still Trusting Constantly:

Other people may find it easy to trust the love of others, however, we should not give our full trust to others and we should not trust the love of man thus we should only trust the LOVE of the Lord. In the text Psalms 52:8, " I am like a green olive tree. I am not destroyed but I am prospering. I trust in the Lords eternal Love".

3. Are you still Serving Joyfully

We find joy in doing things that we love to do. But as a Christian, we serve God with a Joyful Heart. We worship the Lord even if you are in jail. Our situation is not a hindrance to sing and give praises to Him. In Psalms 67:4, "Let all nation Praise the Lord and sing joyfully."

Conclusion: Let us ask ourselves, Who are we in times of trouble? Ask the three important questions and evaluate if you are following God's footsteps.
