Are You Sent in the Name of Christ?

Updated on October 21, 2016

There are many people in the religious community who are involved in the commercial enterprise called Church. Usually, they will ask you whether you go to Church or not, and if you say yes, they will want to know what Church you go to and the name of the denomination that you are affiliated with. Most Church members are representatives of the name that they associate with. In essence, they conduct themselves in the name that gives them their security, respect, power and authority.

Those who have been in service such as a policeman, or as a military officer are given power to enforce the laws, and are sent out to employ them in the name of the Lawmakers. The power of an enforcement officer does not come from the individual, but from the institution, or the government entity that creates and sets the laws for the land. The officers would be the representatives of that particular institution.

As you can see, those who are part of the affairs of the state or religion are representatives of the name of a certain entity that pertains to the affairs of their conduct in the world.

In similar fashion, those among the Ekklesia do all things in the name of Jesus Christ within the affairs and conduct of the Kingdom of God. They are living stones who are utilized by Jesus Christ to preach the Gospel of Grace to the world until the Father decides when the work comes to an end. When those among the Ekklesia go out as representatives of the Kingdom of God into the world, they do not do so by their own natural power, but by the authority they are given as disciples in the Spirit of Christ.

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the STRENGTH THAT GOD SUPPLIES—in order that in EVERYTHING GOD MAY BE GLORIFIED THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. – 1 Peter 4:10-11

In Whose Name???
In Whose Name???

In Whose Name???

Unfortunately, the Church system defies the Word of God that they believe they so closely associate with. Every helping hand, missionary trip, prayer, meeting and many other man-made endeavours that they do in their communities and abroad is done in the name of their pastor, Church and denominational name-brand. They fail to understand that ALL true disciples of Jesus Christ do not go out in their own name, Church name, or denominational brand-name, but ONLY in the name of Jesus Christ.

Jesus had warned his followers of what would come in the last days and it is important to understand his message that applies today.

For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I AM THE CHRIST,’ and they will lead many astray. – Matthew 24:5

Jesus was referring to counterfeit religious Church system where many of her members who would come in his name. These people would be part of the Church system created by men who would do all of their religious works in Jesus’ name. In fact, these religious men would have great authority, strength, reputations and great glory they would give themselves while professing to associate with the teachings of Jesus Christ.

For false Christ’s and false prophets will arise and PERFORM SIGNS AND WONDERS, to lead astray, if possible, the elect. But be on guard; I HAVE TOLD YOU ALL THINGS BEFOREHAND. – Mark 13:22-23

False Christ

Those within the Church system have no idea who the false Christ’s that Jesus was referring to. They blindly believe that these men are radical cult leaders, or some religious politician(s) who would rise to great prominence proclaiming that he is the Christ.

Could it be that they have it all wrong and that Jesus was referring to the counterfeit of the Ekklesia, which is the Church system?

  • Was Jesus referring to a coming Antichrist, or was he warning of the many false prophets, teachers, ministers and the many others that give themselves ecclesiastical titles who are sent by the devil to sow seeds for his kingdom, leading the masses down the wide road to destruction?

I believe Jesus was speaking about the professing Church (spiritual Babylon), not to those who are outside of her.

But FALSE PROPHETS also arose among the people, just as there will be FALSE TEACHERS among you, who will secretly bring in DESTRUCTIVE HERESIES, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of TRUTH WILL BE BLASPHEMED. And in their GREED they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep. – 2 Peter 2:1-3

There are many “anointed” men within the Church system. These are the “false Christ’s” Jesus was referring to. We must clearly understand that Jesus has the title Christ because he is the anointed one because the Father has given it to him. The “false Christ’s” also have an “anointing” and power, but it is given to them by Satan.

The Prophet, Priest and King

The Old Testament reveals that there was special anointing given to men by God. It was given to the prophets, priests and kings until Jesus Christ fulfilled his purpose given to him by his Father.

And you shall put them on Aaron your brother, and on his sons with him, and shall ANOINT THEM and ordain them and consecrate them, that they may serve me AS PRIESTS. – Exodus 28:41

And Samuel said to Saul, “The LORD sent me to ANOINT YOU KING over his people Israel – 1 Samuel 15:1

And Jehu the son of Nimshi you shall ANOINT TO BE KING over Israel, and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah you shall ANOINT TO BE PROPHET in your place. – 1 Kings 19:16

Jesus Christ has been given the Name above all names and was given the high position of Prophet, Priest and King. The Churches of men have ignored this and given these names to themselves so that they can have control instead.

The Ekklesia do not have men who are kings ruling over them; they do not have priests to do atoning rituals on their behalf, and do not have to go to prophets to hear from God for them, or to know the Word of God.

Those who have the spirit of Christ within them already have all they need.

What does this mean?

ALL the ministry and service in the Body of Christ such as serving, teaching, healing, etc… is ALL done through the HEAD, which is Jesus Christ. There are NO individuals in the Kingdom of God. The Ekklesia are a spiritual family of brothers and sisters who are led by their elder brother Jesus Christ. The anointing of the Father comes ONLY through Jesus Christ down his robe to those who are truly joined to him as a family in one spirit; one with the Father and the Son.

The “anointing” of Satan falls upon men who are in and of themselves in their own names, but the anointing of God comes simply from being in oneness with Christ. Doing what God wills in obedience to Him will bring true anointing and authority, but the false "anointing" comes from what man have conceived themselves.

False Christ’s are in direct opposition to the will of God as they give credence to their own man-made doctrines and traditions. They act upon their own names they have given themselves on the behalf of their denominational creeds as members of organized religion.

Those among the Ekklesia do not act on the behalf of their emotions, desires, will, and power, but are in alignment with the Head as a member of the Body of Christ tapped into the power of the Spirit of Christ.

The source of power that comes from the Church system comes from another “Christ” and another “spirit” masked as an “angel of light.” These men claim to have "anointing" and teach in the “name of Christ,” but this is an illusion.

The way to identify a false Christ is by what they claim to be. If they say they are “the anointed of God,” then they are exposed for the FALSE CHRISTS they are.

In fact, they will twist Old Testament Scripture and say, “Touch not my anointed ones…” and use fear tactics saying that disagreeing with them is heresy and will lead to disaster. These are coercive measures to keep you silent.

There is absolutely no reason to fear these men because Jesus Christ has already warned us beforehand that they would come and preach their false doctrines to deceive many. The sole purpose of these religious men are to exalt themselves in high positions so that they can lord over others for their own self-interests, ambitions and glorification.

For such men are FALSE apostles, DECEITFUL workmen, DISGUISING themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds. – 2 Corinthians 13-15

Jesus Christ is Head of his Ekklesia, but false Christ’s want Headship for themselves as they use domination and manipulation tactics in their Nicolaitan ways. This is the epitome of the Church system where the ecclesiastical priest class elevate themselves as clergy hirelings giving themselves titles such as Pastor, Apostle, Doctor, Reverend, Prophet, etc… to rule over the masses. These men are not servants; their aim is to influence for control. They are arrogant prideful men who are self-serving lovers of money who make a living off the backs of the people. They make themselves unapproachable and resort to abusive behaviors when their underlings don’t give them the accolades and the flattery they think they deserve. The abomination of it all is that they do all these things in Jesus’ name.

The leaders in the Church system are a special breed, but God hates their deeds. We can be sure that they will get the justice that they deserve in due time.

The Ekklesia must be vigilant and not be deterred, nor bow down to these men, but warn others and expose them for who they are in their plots, schemes, illusions and deceptions. Don’t be deceived, Satan loves to offer earthly thrill and power to men knowing that they will give up the hope of their salvation for it.

Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, DO NOT RECEIVE HIM INTO YOUR HOUSE OR GIVE HIM ANY GREETING, FOR WHOEVER GREETS HIM TAKES PART IN HIS WICKED WORKS. – 2 John 1:9-11

I don’t know about you, but I do not want to take part in the wicked works of false Christ’s. We must have the discernment to know by what and whose name someone is sent.

A disciple of Jesus Christ will be sent in the name of Jesus Christ ONLY.

A Christian within the Church system will be sent in the name of their pastor via the name of their Church building via their denominational affiliation all wrapped up in the name of “Jesus.” There is a big difference, but many are completely blind to the distinction.

Who sends you?

Do you come in the name of “Christ” who approves of the temple system called Church?

Do you come in the name of Christ who abolished the temple system to create his Ekklesia?

      Aaron - Good lesson.

This post reminds me of the church I used to attend. The "name" of the church was "Carmel Baptist." The word Carmel came from the name of the road the building was on - thus "Carmel Baptist." They out grew the building on Carmel road and built a multimillion dollar "church" in another part of town - near my house.

Before almost every sermon the pastor would greet the congregation with, "Good morning Carmel - thank all of you for coming to worship at "Carmel." Maybe it was just me, but I took offense that I was being called "Carmel." I had been in marketing and advertising for over 30 years, and I knew exactly what this guy was doing. He was pushing the church "brand" in a city with hundreds of other church brands. There are "Carmel" bumper stickers, T-shirts, coffee mugs, tote bags, and of course a huge sign in front of the building with the name 'Carmel." And the same goes for every other "church" in my fair city.

Unfortunately, man's church is not about Christ's Ekklesia, it's ALL about the "brand." Marketing and advertising for a commodity called "members." And that commodity is what pays the bills! The more members, the bigger the "church" and the more $$$ for the hirelings.

I confronted the "senior pastor" after one service and asked him why he addressed the congregation as "Carmel." He seemed astounded and offended that I had asked that question. He stumbled and stammered and basically said brushed it off as if there was nothing wrong with it. He implied that it was my problem if I was offended - like I was the one in the wrong.

I was a little ticked-off that he was implying that it was my problem so I asked him a couple more questions. I asked him if he thought it was an offense to Christ (And the people) that he didn't address the congregation as brothers and sisters in Christ? And I asked him what he thought all those thousands of people thought when they drive by the multimillion dollar "church" every day? I told him I believed that the building was a hindrance to the gospel because, as Paul iterated in 1 Corinthians 9, many unbelievers would assume that churches were in it for the money - and all those millions spent on huge buildings just proved their assumptions.

When I finished, the pastor actually said, "I rebuke you." He said I was way off the mark and had no right to say those things. I told him I disagreed and a couple of weeks later I left the church of Babylon with my family and will never return.

I thank God for revealing the truth to me. I have learned and grown more in the truth since I left man's church in just over a year then I had in 32 years as a captive of man's doctrines.

Thank you for your ministry of exposing the lies and warning people to come out of man's church.

Neil - amen- how many people have been hurt and /or destroyed by these pompous hirelings. God forbid you disagree with him in anything, he is god in "his church", but unfortunately it is "his church" and most people think the sign out front means it is related to God, which it is not, so when they are treated in the manner you mentioned they walk away from God as well, (I saw the preacher come sneaking out the back door of another mans home and he called me a liar) I did that(walked away)at the ripe old age of 12 and it took until I was in my 30's actually meet the real God,. And HE told me to stay away from those hirelings and teach the word, not doctrines of men. these self made gods are in for a rude awakening as are most of their followers that are too lazy or complacent to read the scriptures and develop a relationship with the REAL God, when they hear the words "go away I never knew YOU". We have NO CHOICE we have to continue exposing these faks and charlatans for what they are, an evil cancer usurping the place of Christianity..

Aaron- another awesome post. God bless you my brother, keep up the good work because you are under a heavy anointing ( I know you know that but others need to know it too) You are truly one of God's mouthpieces in this hour with a message ALL need to understand.

These words you are writing are not the words of man but of God. I am not trying nor would I ever try to exhault you but I recognize a true word from God when I hear it and just want to CONFIRM your messages.

To God's people I say take heed to these words as they are truth from the throne of God.

PandN- Another great article. I can only echo the words of both Neil and celafoe. I do hope and pray that many others out there will take the time and effort to read this article. And take the time to truly study the word of God on their own.

Thanks for writing this article PandN and God bless.

      Greetings planksandnails.

Another reminder that the Lord knows who are His and is mindful of them, blessing them with grace with reverence and humility to serve" His needs "wherever they can doing their best as the best they know according to His word and His will;-

Looking forward to meet them at that surprising moment , and in unison saying " Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give you something to drink? And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?"---

In my humbleness only I can point to those knowing they live just and upright, read please for yourself Matt.25: 40. Thank you.

2John 1:7 For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

Today the problem is that many deceivers are still in the world only they do confess Jesus Christ. The Jesus Christ they confess is not the Jesus of the scripture. Lowly fishers of men that some of us are can quickly by using the word know they are speaking of another Jesus.

Today the deceived far outnumber the disciples. We should count ourselves blessed to find others on the narrow path. If we stay on the narrow path in time there will be light to be seen by others. We may be the initial light source for others to find their way out of darkness.

      Thank you for your posts.

Isiah 9:2 The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined. (Thank you Jesus)

Pastors in the Church system want power. Your story rings true for most who confront them. The pastor knows that he has all the power in his kingdom as Satan has given him a monarchial status that is financed through temple tax (tithing) to further the agenda of his “royal family.”

The Carmel Senior Pastor would be blinded to seeing that he was an offense to Christ because he made himself “Christ.”

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “ALL THIS I WILL GIVE YOU,” he said, “if you will BOW DOWN AND WORSHIP ME.” - Matthew 4:8-9

These men will not step down from their lofty positions because the people desire it. They need something, or someone that they can see to ogle over to affirm their “faith.” That is why in the church of Babylon, the name above all names is the pastor’s. Jesus Christ is on their list, but it is many lines down on their extensive list of names.

Carmel Baptist Church worships a “God” made in their own carnal (Carmel) image.

As brother and sisters among the Ekklesia, may we use the gift the spirit of Christ has given us to spread the Gospel of the Kingdom by being beacons of light to the dying world.

I believe no man has a personal ministry; that is the Church systems method of operation. We are all simply conduits of God’s grace.

God Bless you and your family!

One thing we have in common is that the name of Jesus Christ must be glorified. This can only be done in humility without giving ourselves a name. This is a trap that most fall into as you know.

We must realize that without Jesus Christ, we would be egocentric carnal people trying to work our way up the ladder of success by man's standards on the road to destruction.

Those among the Ekklesia are not man centered, but Christ centered in one accord spreading the true message of the Kingdom by what Christ has done, NOT what the pastor or anyone else has done. We can only do this as servants.

      Thank-you for your encouragement.

As you are aware, many are caught up in the religious traps of men because they have never allowed the Spirit of Christ to lead them to truth. How unfortunate for many who need to be held by the hand and spoon fed by some religious hireling instead.

I am so grateful for the grace of God, as most here are, that they have come out of the bondage of the Church system into freedom in Jesus Christ.

My desire is that by the grace of God, we will see more and more come to know this freedom, but we have a lot of work to do.

      God Bless!

You brought up a very interesting verse.

The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these BROTHERS of Mine, even the LEAST OF THEM, you did it to Me.’ - Matthew 25:40

Many of the religious believe these verses mean that if they feed the hungry, help the poor, and visit those in prison, etc... that they will inherit the Kingdom. Many people in the world do these things. Although these things in themselves are good things by filling a temporal need, it doesn't equate to what most think this verse means.

It is my belief that in the verse you quoted, Jesus was referring to his brothers and sisters, meaning his disciples; those who followed him. Matthew 12: 50 and 28:10 confirms this. Jesus never referred to anyone other than his disciples that they are his brothers.

I believe in the context of this verse that Jesus had/ has a special love for his family, which is different than loving (agape) all people. This love is an identifier of how the Ekklesia should love each other in the midst of persecution, hardship, etc... It is mercy because we are connected in Christ. Since the Ekklesia is our spiritual family being in one spirit with Christ, what we do to our brothers and sisters is what we do to Jesus himself.

I appreciate this verse that you quoted as it seems fitting for all of those who have come out of the harlot church system and have suffered persecuted and hardship for doing so. There is often a great sacrifice to leave the shackles of religion behind, and we need to support these people like a family should do.

      God Bless!

      Rich Kelley,

You don't know how blessed I am to know like-minded brothers and sisters in Christ. Through my wilderness experience coming out of organized religion has been a lonely one, but I believe that it is of no coincidence that we are here under the organization of Jesus Christ to share our thoughts and experiences.

Jesus Christ has taught me that his grace is sufficient and he is enough.

All Noah had was his family when he was surrounded by corruption, but his faith saved him.

We need to keep being obedient to our King and allow him to use the talents he has given us to spread seeds of the Kingdom with urgency as we don't have much time to do the work that he commissioned us to do.

The false gospel has infiltrated the globe, but true Gospel seems to be scarcely preached anymore, if at all. May we be bold as the Early Ekklesia to spread the truth.

      I appreciate your comment.
