A Medium's Passage 4

This is a continuation of a series of articles about my discoveries as a medium. “Other” is a term I use for any incorporeal being that I encounter or communicate with from another dimension. See Part 1 for description of dimensions.

The information provided herein has been absorbed over years of personal experience. I have read many books, but only found partial truths in those resources.

Index of the Others Part 2 of 2

Definition: Spirit beings which personify each of the four elements of earth, air, fire, and water. (Also See Nature Spirits)

My Impressions: I perceive these beings to be bright, luminous, and about five feet in height. They live in the same dimensional space as the Spirit of the Earth, Gaia. They have a very happy, upbeat temperament, except when their turf is disrespected. My visualization and communication with these beings is not as nymphs, salamanders, gnomes and such. I sense these beings are mis-categorized with faeries and other nature spirits.

Earth Spirits are brown and live 3-4 feet below ground level in dwellings all over the world. Imagine a hobbit-hole as described by JRR Tolkien. Their homes can become stained with dark muck that accumulates in the earth as a result of negativity, anyone’s negativity. The spirit of the earth, Gaia, consumes this muck and recycles it into positivity.

Air Spirits are silvery, soft gray or white-ish and often have white flowing wings. They float wherever the winds take them. They are very playful and can be called upon to assist on long road trips, securing safe passage.

Water Spirits are shades of blue and reside at the edge of bodies of water. Each body of water has its own guardian. For rivers or springs, the Spirit lives at the beginning, but may travel through it. They are very touchy and will trip or harm people who disrespect them. They are big fans of Masaru Emoto’s work, like “Hidden Messages in the Water.”

Fire Spirits...I don’t know where they live (yet). They are reddish-orange and have a warrior disposition. They are very helpful for purification, like home smudging, personal energy clearing, and so on.

Definition: A legendary or mythical being with a humanlike appearance, often associated with magic.

My Impressions: Oh my, there are faeries. I cohabitate with faeries and over the years have learned many things, though I suspect I have only just begun my exploration of these wonderful beings and the dimension they reside.

Earth is very close to the dimensional space in which they exist. I believe they have always been close and that people, especially intuitive ones, have always sensed them. Faeries are often mislabeled as Angels, Demons, Ghosts, or Aliens based on their interactions with humans.

I believe that the human mind is capable of extensive manifestation. Our will can create the lives we lead, good and bad. We can manifest our worst fears or generate our own miracles. Reading “Hidden Messages in the Water” is one small proof of our ability. As a group we are capable of generating an entire reality. Times changes; beliefs change; our world reflects this. So, when it came to pass that the belief in faeries was passé, they faded. Recently, the belief in faeries (among other things) is strengthening. As a result, the faeries (and other beings) are becoming more tangible to us.

The classification system of faeries is very complex. I share what I have learned with the disclaimer that there are many gaps in my information, though the faeries are very insistent that what I claim is truer than what history claims. They can be tricky, but I only share information that I feel is essentially true based on my repeated experiences.

They start as seedlings, an inch or two small, male or female. I do not know what causes this, but there is a pop and a faerie exists, sometimes there are batches. They all seem the same at this level. They are able to communicate immediately with us, nature spirits, and their own kind. They learn and grow. The growth spurts are often instantaneous, another pop and they grow 10 times their size or more.

They pick a career path. This path will generally influence how they look and how far they will progress. There are four basic careers (that I know about). One is as a companion or healer, supporting fae, humans, or other beings. Two is working with nature having a myriad of choices, elements, places and such. Three is in the arts, creating and inspiring the beauty that exists everywhere through music, writing, painting, crafts, and more. Four is as a protector or warrior for nature, the borders between dimensions, or beings.

The names and titles that we have given to faeries are irrelevant to them, such as brownie, gnome, sprite, pixie, nymph, troll, goblin, and so on. Many of the classifications, folk tales and rumors about faeries are incorrect…but that is a lengthy topic of its own.

Definition: A legendary or mythical being with an animal or combined animal appearance, often associated with magic.

My Impressions: I have only recently begun to encounter mythical beings. My children have seen tree-like beings in our yard that look a lot like Ents described by J.R.R. Tolkien, only smaller. There are some beings that live on the lower portion of our property whose appearance is similar to the creatures in “Where the Wild Things Are”. My niece often sees large black dogs on our property.

On unicorns…I had a few come and visit and talk to me in my semi-dream state. They shape shift between human and unicorn, talking in their human form. They felt very similar to higher angels or faeries, compressed and powerful. I got the impression that they travel in their unicorn form through many dimensions. I do not know which one they call home.

The tree beings, the big fluffy beings, and the dogs all feel like they live in the faerie dimension.

I met a bridge troll once! He was definitely in the faerie dimension. He hadn’t ever had a human see him! He was not as terrible as the stories. His job was as a guardian to protect a very special place with many faeries. He “tagged” humans that should be watched during their visit as they passed his bridge.

Definition: They are the personifications of various aspects of inanimate nature. A tree, a volcano, a rocky outcropping, a mountain, these will frequently have a spirit being attached to them.

My Impressions: These being exist in the same dimension as the Elementals (with The Spirit of the Earth), although the borders can overlap just as they do here. They are not as sentient as the elementals but can still communicate. Oftentimes, nature spirits are misclassified as faeries, gnomes, sylphs, et cetera. They are protective beings and can turn dark if their territory is damaged.

That was me! :) Loved this hub too, bborrello. Love your explanation of the different spirits...and I have to agree with you on them. I have to say that particularly with the tree spirits, there do seem to be spirits like that of ents. I see faces in the bark of trees all of the if the trees are living ethereal beings themselves.

Fascinating reading this information. Ever since another hubber told me she saw fairies in my photos I've been much more observant on my strolls along my garden paths.

Jo - Thanks! Not so much "practicing" as it is just who I am (see some of my True Scary Stories). My beliefs are eclectic. I do read cards and have some favorites: Faerie Oracle with Brian Froud's art by Jessica MacBeth; and Russian Gypsy Fortune Telling, by Svetlana Touchkoff.

Marsei - You are welcome. I am glad you enjoyed it!

This was a very well-written and facinating article. I have two friends who are psychics and make their living as such, one as a psychic and one as an astrologist, although she is also paychic. It is so wondderful to see people using this gift for good. I rememer my sister taking me to see the faries at bedtime and remember all the magic of that world.

Thank you again for your article.
