Inside the Bayley House
Just about every paranormal investigator in the area has requested to do an investigation of the inside the Bayley House, to no avail. Jon Almada and I got lucky, or we just live right; and we were offered a private tour of the 150 year old brick structure.
The historical landmark is located in Pilot Hill, CA on Highway 49. The house was built in 1861 by A. J. Bayley. Bayley was an entrepreneur and believed the railrood would be built near the home. He decided that the small town needed an inn when that occurred... however, it never happened, so A.J. and his family moved into the 10,000 sqare foot home. The home has had many owners since, but has stood vacant for many years.
It is presently owned by the Friends of the Bayley House, which is a non-profit organization created to facilitate its restoration, working with the Georgetown Divide Recreation District.
On Sunday, January 4th Jon Almada from Ghostrider Paranormal Investigations and I met John Crane, a volunteer with the restoration committee, outside the house. John was kind enough (wonderful enough!) to take us inside and to give us a comprehensive tour of the place. I took over 30 photographs of the inside of the house, and caught ten spirit orbs, and what I believe to be a shadow figure in the process. Jon had his digital recorder and got several fantastic EVPs inside the house, including one that bid us welcome as we walked in the front door.
Jon Almada and I would like to express our deep appreciation to John Crane and the owners of the Bayley House for allowing us to investigate it. It was a trill of a lifetime for both Jon and I.
Here are some of the photographs I took from inside the house: (Hub Pages would not permit me to add any close ups of the orbs I captured at this investigation because they were pixelated.)

That's me standing in the parlor on the first floor. John Crane opened some of the boards that were covering the windows for us. The inside floors were covered with piegon droppings, so it was interesting walking around in there.

As you come in the front door, this is the stairway that you see. This is the main staircase that leads up to the second floor. The house also has rear stairways.
Back staircase to the second floor.
This was supposedly AJ's bedroom on the second floor. Most of the old plaster walls and slats have been torn down. John Crane told us that there was a man living in the house for a while who was attempting to renovate it. He eventually gave up. P
This room was supposedly Mrs. Bayly's bedroom on the second floor. It is assumed so because there is a dressing area on the other side of this door and what looked like it might have been a closet. Strange because they didn't build closets at the t
This is a strange photograph. I did NOT change the color of it in photoshop... all I did was enhance the brightness of it. The flash in my camera did not go off. This is Jon standing on the second floor with I believe to be a shadow figure behind
Stairway to the third floor... where I detected the most paranormal activity. This often seems to be the case with haunted buildings. The attic or top floors are usually the most active. I have no idea why that is.
Two orbs caught in this photograph... one is between the upright boards and the other is near the ceiling, both to the right.
Second photograph taken in the attic. Two orbs in this one too... This area was located on the right side of where we were standing. The first was taken straight on from the top of the stairway back into the room.
Third photo of John Crane and Jon Almada inspecting the wood used on the roof structure. It is original! Orb in this one is also between the lower upright structures.
Spirit orbs in main stairwell coming down from the second floor to the first floor.
Perfect end to a fantastic investigation.
