Is it God's Fault?

Updated on November 20, 2014

Who's Fault is it???

Terrible things happen in this world, and many times its blamed on God, but if he is willing to die a painful and terrible death, and rest everyone's sins on himself only because he loves us, why would he want to cause suffering?

At this very moment, my grandmother is suffering cancer. The chemo is torture, and she has something wrong with her heart with a desperate need for surgery. But sadly she has no insurance to cover it. No I don't know what will happen, or if she will even live, but what I do know, is that through all of her suffering, pain, and worries, she keeps her chin up and her hands lifted!

I recently had a comment on my last hub, asking how God could have a big story for us, when there are people suffering both now and in the Bible. Well my answer is people. God loves us so much, that he allowed us to live with our own choices in this world. Some people make the wrong choices, and do things that aren't necessary. There are also situations caused by the devil. Once you trust in God, Satan will do everything he can to take your trust away! Your job as a disciple of God is to hold on to your trust, and make the devil feel as small as he truly is!

My challenge to you is to read the book of job in the Bible. Job was a man of God, who kept his faith even when he got everything taken from him. In this story Satan asks God to attempt to take away Jobs trust in God. God was so confident that Job loved him, that he allowed the devil to do as he pleased, but instructed him not to hurt Job. The devil eventually took everything Job had, yet Job was still faithful to the Lord. In the end, Job received twice as much as he had before!

To wrap up everything I have said, God has a huge story for all of us, and though the devil can scribble on God's special pages, he still breaks through. Death is a terrible thing, but the choice was open to them weather to accept Jesus into their hearts or not. If they did, God has a special place prepared for them in Heaven. If not, they turned down God's offer, and decided to live in the world instead of God's presence.

Prayer- Lord God I thank you for the story that you have written for my life, and so many others. I pray that you set a blessing on the boy who commented on my last hub. I know that him along with many others might be confused on how your story ends. Show them that instead of looking at a small portion, it is more important to look at the big picture! In Jesus' name I pray,

AMEN!!!
