It is God Who Gives the Increase
It is God Who Gives the Increase
Life is Short. Savor the Moments
We are nothing without our Father. He does nothing without our hands and feet doing His will. He can. However, He wants us to be more conformed to the image of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
My thoughts go to how really short life turns out to be. before it is gone. At some point in life, the body begins to break down. One can slow the process somewhat, but God controls every heartbeat and breath we take and knows the nanosecond of our end. Judy Ann and I recently moved from Northern Maine closer to family in the Piedmont of North Carolina. We are nearer to numerous restaurants, shopping malls, a major airport, and many doctors. Savor the moment
The move itself almost killed us, much less the time we have left. However, God honored us with safe travel through seven states, snow in Maine and rain, hundreds of trucks, and senseless, dangerous car drivers. It was a good experience in spite of obstacles. Stressful situations always bring out the ultimate good in people as well as the bad occasionally. That was true on our trip as well.
God makes the proud humble!
God makes the proud humble!
The Bible has a way of making , and one's standing becomes not as important as previously thought. Just as clearly, the Bible, when preached from God's standpoint, is in your face of the politically correct society we live within. When the Word of God becomes prioritized, people come to the faith. (Acts 6, NKJV) Just as true is the fact it will drive some people away as it always has done. It is hard for God to save someone who is the god of their own life. the proud humble
The way I read the Word of God His people should never be passive in the face of evil. Paul attacked the evil he encountered. We can all agree that the Word of God is His special revelation and communication to man. However, that begs another question. How seriously are we taking the Word of God? Do we have a holy reverence for the Bible’s words and take the time to assemble for worship and Bible study?
Effective Communication with God
Jesus words in the Matthew account brings up a critical point. We can and must effectively communicate with God as we would with our earthly Father. Our heavenly Father desires communication with those He loves and knows.
J. Hampton Keathley III states, “Isn’t it true that one of the keys to life and good relationships is effective communication? And for effective communication to occur, there must be effective listening. This is just one of the reasons we must take the study of the Bible very seriously, whether privately or corporately. This is true not only in Bible study but in our prayer life and in all aspects of corporate worship. Why? So we might truly listen to God through the various aspects of a worship service, and especially our time in the Word.”
Back to the original point made – life is too short to sit on our back-ends and not do as our Father did on His time on the earth. His light of truth always stood tall in the face of those knowingly and unknowingly controlled by Satan. Our fight is the light and truth of God against the darkness of those controlled by the dark side of Satan’s forces. 2 Chronicles 7.13-15 states, “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open, and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.”
God can and will forgive us when we repent. The same goes for America who has turned her back on the God who created her. Oh God, I have sinned against you and your Word, I am sorry for sinning against you and ask for your mercy and forgiveness based on my forgiveness because of what Jesus did on the cross for me. I repent on the blood of Jesus Christ for every sin I have committed against you Lord. I am truly sorry. I receive your forgiveness and turn from my wicked ways in Jesus precious name, Amen. That is my prayer, and it should be the prayer of every Christian in America. Revival and forgiveness start with God’s people.
Who is Your Enemy?
The Real Enemy Is Not Seen With Natural Eyes.
Paul stated, “For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual [hosts] of wickedness in the heavenly [places].” (Ephesians 6.12) We live in an age of deceit. Never has it been easier to deceive the gullible. However, a child is to obey their parents. We are children of God and should obey our Father and His Son. God is pro-life, and so each of us should be as well. God is pro-holiness, and we should be too. God is pro-truth, and we must be as well. The Word of God is light, and the ways of the world without Him and His Word are darkness overseen by Satan and those that deny God.
Anyone with any discernment knows that the ways of the world are not more pro-life, pro-holiness, and pro-God’s truth. However, God’s people should be moving in the direction of God’s stance at a cataclysmic pace. Get in the Word of God and get involved. If you are pro-abortion, ask God to show you the truth on this subject. He is pro-life. He is also pro-holiness and seeks us to be more and more like Him. Remember, we did not get into this mess by being like Him. If we were like Him, we would have the motivation of God, and the peace that passes any understanding. Our country lives in the angst of what will happen tomorrow.
The Bible sees the state of our nation and the world so clearly written by Godly men a couple of thousand years ago that are coming true right before our eyes. The Bible is one-hundred percent accurate. For those of us who believe in God, there is absolute peace of where we are going even if we suffer tribulation. The wrath of God reserved for those who have rejected His path to salvation, Him, and Jesus Christ. Those days are ahead are inevitable as the sunshine that sustains the earth. The choice is yours. May each be at peace with whatever decision you ultimately make.
Life is too short to waste time.
But a Vapor
James, probably the half-brother of Jesus Christ, had a way with words. Our life at best is but a vapor. What each of us has to do is determine that we are going to make the best effort with the time we have. Fulfill whatever goal the Lord has set forth for us to follow. That is the challenge. God blessings to you in that pursuit.
