It Is a Great Responsibility for All of Us
Have you ever thought about what a great responsibility that we indeed have when we are in such a wonderful place in our spiritual walk? Perhaps it comes down to knowing that you are going to an eternal Heaven and wanting to take as many souls with you as possible. We do not deserve Heaven yet by His grace we are saved. Him alone no other. Jesus has done the difficult part for us so the rest of it is up to us. He has saved each and every single one of us.
It is coming to the realization of Hîs incredible love and gift and wanting to share it with everyone. When you study the gospel it takes you to a very different place in spirituality. It would take you to a place where like Jesus you would want none to perish. Every person would get saved. You would truly love your brother and your neighbor. Not just the words but indeed all of the actions that follow and encompass such feelings. So, in essence, ours becomes a great responsibility and included in that responsibility would be our example. Once again not just talking about it but actually living it. It becomes a manifestation of our lives and ultimately we are able to teach our fellow man by our example. We would show them our example by living in the Holy Spirit and ultimately loving God in the most immense way that we can as He certainly exhibits His immense love for us. Jesus tells us that there is no greater love than one laying His life down for His friends. Jesus does exactly that and lays His life down for all of us. Don't you just love Him? He certainly loves all of us, each and every one. For all of His greatness, we have the responsibility to pay it forward so to speak. Additionally, we have the great responsibility of sharing the gospel and the wonderful promises in the gospel.
Here are some verses on responsibility:
1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.
Colossians 3:23 And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men,
2 Corinthians 6:3 We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed. But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, ...
Romans14:15 Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died. Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil; for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men.
Ezra 10:4 Arise; for this matter belongs unto you: we also will be with you: be of good courage, and do it.
Hebrews 12:14 You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:
“My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord,
Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;
For whom the Lord loves He chastens,
And scourges every son whom He receives.”
2 Peter 1:10 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
God bless always.
