It's Time to Stand

Updated on June 23, 2014

It's Time to Take a Stand

Who am I?

What am I doing here?

Seems to be a common,

And frequent fear.

Traveling throught life,

Not knowing why,

Away from direction,

We tend to shy.

We get discouraged, And sometimes scared,

So we convince ourselves, That we are not prepared.

It's time to stop worrying, And let God take control,

Afterall, who can harm us, If God is our lead roll?

What are we to do, In this ever changing place?

It keeps moving forward, Without an ounce of grace.

We are trapped here, Living in this world run by sin,

Our weak voices, Constantly giving in.

When we finally do, Speak out loud,

We try to yell, Above the noisy crowd.

But Satan quickly, Covers our words,

He closes their hearts, So we can't be heard.

We can only do, As much as we can,

Unfortunantely, God's words are banned.

They are banned from work, They are banned from school,

They are banned from everywhere, Saying "Jesus" breaks the rule.

But we can't stop speaking, No matter the cost,

Our hearts deeply ache, When we think of the lost.

The prince of this Earth, Runs about free,

Making people's lives "adventurous", And full of "mystery".

He distracts them from truth, They don't understand,

Anything but Christ, Is his only demand.

Our mission is to help, And for them to see clear,

Because it won't be long, Before our Christ comes here.

So be prepared, The time is soon,

He wants all of us with Him, Not left in this monsoon.

We are few, But we are proud,

We love our God, And we'll proclaim it loud.

So Satan listen here, Prepare to step back,

You'll silence us no more, Consider it a fact!

      Voted up and awesome.

It is a pity that saved Christians in America are so lazy and spoiled. They take the life Jesus offers without being grateful for the gift or loving enough to share the gift with others. Most Christians, sorry to say will go to heaven all alone with no one swayed to come with them. I praise God for those who are willing and are doing God's will in this matter. Bob.

Thank you for the encouragement. Encourging fellow siblings is just as important (if not more) as spreading the GoOD news!!

It's so nice to meet another Christian who isn't afraid to speak out with the truth. This is an awesome poem! Great job!

I know it's easier said than done, but we HAVE to start doing it... and doing it together as a unit. The voices that are being heard, are not the voices of truth.

Very well put! Christians must put on the whole armor of God...stand on our principles and values and not waiver

If only more Christians would heed the calling. We often search for excuse when there really is not any acceptable one. We must not be ashamed. Very convicting Hub.
