Bible as your Living Water.

Updated on February 5, 2013

Jeremiah 17:8

For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

The more we read the Bible, keep our eyes on Jesus, and walk with Him daily, the more blessed we will be spiritually. Our spirits will be strong as green healthy leaf because the root (our spirits) is in the water (Word of God). No matter what circumstances we may have this year (the year of drought), Jesus will never let us be without blessings. Meditate on His Word, pray for blessings such as health and wisdom, and don't be afraid to boldly come to the Father who loves you!

When I read the Word of God, it refreshes me. It is like a drink of cold iced tea on a hot summer day. The Bible have so much wisdom that whenever I have a problem, the answer is there! I love it when the Holy Spirit helps me find verses to help me get through the day, or help me solve a problem through His Word.

Everyday at least, I pray and asked God for wisdom. Open my bible and find verses that will prepare for the day. As a father of four daughters, I need it badly (haha) and as a husband, I want to be a loving husband to my wife. Without the Word of God, or if I stop reading the bible for a while, I start to get irritated, full of ego and pride, and sometimes, become a jerk (There I admitted it!). So in order to keep myself in line, only the Word of God can help stay cool as much as possible through prayers and faith.

Word of God is my Living Water. It's also yours, too! Just open the BIble and see what God got to say to you through His Word. Embrace His Word and enjoy the spiritual food and drink for your soul.
