Journey to the Top

Updated on December 27, 2015

Journey to the Top

Every human being is on a journey that begins at birth. Most people, however, are not really sure where their journey will end. Most people want it to get better as they go, but sometimes they lose sight of their true goals. Many make bad choices that result in their being in a situation that is bad for them.

Your journey in life is supposed to take you to a place where your dreams are realized, and where you are happy. Often, however, many people end up being lost and miserable. Unfortunately, they realize too late the things they should have done or not done. Why is it so difficult to be successful and happy?

Each of us is on a journey through life, but you are not supposed to just ride along and accept whatever happens. The journey down can be an easy one, but the journey to the top can be hard and filled with resistance. Many times your own weaknesses can cause you to fail. If you want to make it, you must become stronger by overcoming resistance.

Several things interfere with success. Besides your own weaknesses, other people can interfere by saying negative things against you. Although difficult, you just have to do your best in spite of negative people. Another problem for many is lack of organization or planning. The journey to the top should not be cluttered or unplanned.

The journey to the top begins with positive thinking; this will help you overcome negativity in your life. In addition, being positive will help you arrive where you want to be and do what you want to be doing. Your journey can often present a struggle, but you have a better chance of making it if you give it your best effort.

The next step, if you want to succeed, is to find the truth about life. Many times people are held back by false knowledge. They believe in theories that have no basis for truth. Sometimes they turn to man-made devices or lifeless elements for guidance. When you begin any journey, you should be equipped with things that would actually help you, including knowledge of the truth.

The truth clears the path to your destination. False knowledge can only take you to a dead-end street. Many are tempted by what seems to be the truth, but giving in to that temptation can be very disappointing. Sometimes you can have problems finding the truth. In addition, most people are caught up in a deception regarding their destination. They believe in theories conjured up by those who are imperfect.

Don't believe in theories that don't make sense. These may sound good, but they don't have a place in reality. The truth is that human beings are imperfect and they die. They are imperfect because they have a sinful nature; therefore, they die. A human being must become perfect before he or she can live for eternity.

Many have found the truth in the Bible. The Bible tells us about God who created the universe and all forms of life. If God does not exist, then there is no reasonable explanation for the existence of the universe and human beings. Just remember that the more you know about the truth, the less you don't know.

The Bible tells us about Jesus Christ, who is the Son of God. Jesus was born as a human being, but He did not have a sinful nature. He taught the way of truth, and was crucified because of His teachings. Jesus died for our sins, and God resurrected Him; then He returned to Heaven.

Christians are those who believe in Jesus as their savior. Someday Jesus will return and take all Christians to Heaven. Those who had died will be resurrected by God at that time.

After finding the truth, you must live accordingly. People will criticize you, but you shouldn't care about that. The road to perfection is a hard one, but if you want to make the journey to the top, you can't give up. Just do your best and know that getting there will be worth it.

From the Bible:

Jesus said, "Behold, I am coming soon, and my reward is with me. I will give to every person according to what he or she has done."

(Revelation, Chapter 22, Verse 12)
