KISS...Keep It Simple Saint

Updated on March 7, 2018

The Ten Commandments

Shalom, all my family and friends! I pray all is well with all of you today, as it is so with me!! It’s a beautiful day, the sun is shining, the Son is still alive, and יהוה is still on His throne, raining blessings upon His children and reigning in His glory!!

I want to continue discussing our firm foundation. How we can better learn to honor, love, obey, and trust יהוה in all we are and in all we do. We have a saying here at our home- "The heart of the matter is the matter of the heart." Where is your heart today? Is your heart set on a firm foundation of honoring, loving, obeying, and trusting יהוה, or is your heart set on a flimsy foundation of giving glory and honor to self?

Read Shemot (Exodus) 20:1-17 …

... More commonly known as The Ten Commandments.

The Ten Commandments.

The Ten Words.

Part of יהוה’s Torah.

Learning how to honor, love, obey, and trust יהוה.

Learning how to honor and love those with whom we share this planet.

It really is that simple!

Yes, it really can be that simple- KISS (Keep It Simple Saint). Why do we make it so complex, more so than it needs to be? You know, I ask my children this question all the time, especially when they’ve done the same mess-up so many times in a row; “Michaela, all you have to do is follow the directive I gave you, you can do it; but, you need to quit making it a harder job than what it is!” “Jackson, just do the work, and quit making it so difficult!” “Alana! Why did you do that! How many times have I given you a consequence for this same thing!?” And, then, I stop dead in my tracks and wonder if יהוה does not say something of a similar nature to me; “Shirley, My Word is right there in front of you; why are you making it more difficult than it needs to be?”
