Karma theory and retribution - certain facts!

Consider a circle which originates from a minute center. The circle may be of any radius but the center is always fixed while the circumference may vary according to the length of the radius.

If we take the example of a bicycle, there are two wheels which propel the cycle forward by the rider pedaling it. There is a hub from which the spokes emanate in different directions and which are connected to various points in the rim. A small thrust on the pedal take the cycle forward. The rotation is transmitted from the center of the hub through the spokes to the rim. The outer rim covered with a tube and tyre is traveling over stones and mud, thorns and nails. What about the hub? The hub never experiences any problem like the wheel rim. When the radius goes on increasing, the movement at the rim is more. But at the center, it is the least movement.

The calm center could be equated to the self within while the outer rim could be equated to the body undergoing various troubles and travails in the external world. The mind is projected outside through thoughts and desires. Hence it is said that lesser the desires, lesser will be our sufferings in the mortal world. Each and everyone desires for peace and calm more than anything else in this mundane world. Contemplate for a moment, what we have gained by the toil in the world? Everyone aspire for more and more wealth and properties. Man foolishly believes that he can get satisfaction by acquiring more and more. More money means more misery. But none believes this until he suffers innumerable troubles for acquiring wealth and properties. He neglects his health and tries in crooked ways to accumulate wealth through fraudulent ways and corruption. When he becomes old, he will lament pathetically that his wealth never comes to his rescue during illness. None attends him during bedridden days. None cares him though he acquired lot of wealth. Now he regrets for his past sins.

Honesty, Truth and morality must be cultivated by all beings even if they face torment and criticism from the worldly minded people. When we earn our bread by honest means, we will be blessed with peace of mind and contentment. It is only the greedy who want to hoard more and more and stack their ill earned money in many banks in overseas where they never question about the source of money. Secret bank accounts won’t come to our help in emergency. Nowadays there are many regulations governing foreign exchange. However clever one may be, he might have left some clues for sleuths to smell the fishy deals. We are watching the media where the details of such unaccounted black money are stacked by individual and companies to avoid taxes. Of course, it takes many years to bring the culprits to book. But government authorities are stern nowadays in dealing with black money generation.

When we are transparent and pay our dues to the government, we have nothing to fear about the tax authorities. Let us contribute to the exchequer so that welfare activities to provide for the poorest could be undertaken by the government. Gone are the days of corrupt regimes and leaders. Everyone is caught now though the abetment of true income might have taken place many years back. Many political bigwigs are imprisoned by convictions by the supreme courts. In every society, we can find few honest persons who are in positions of authority. They can not be browbeaten like others. They deal with the corrupt politicians with stern hand and convicting them in each case. Some economic offenders might have escaped for the time being. One day they will be caught by the long hands of law.

One may escape the King but not from the books of God. Each and every act of commission and omission is perfectly recorded in our conscious and when the individual dies, the last breath carries the mind with the full imprint of all deeds. A suitable rebirth in an appropriate family to work out the effects of past deed is granted to the individual soul. Hence some are born in rich family, some in very poor family, yet some in middle class families. Hence there is marked differences in the life of each baby that come into the world. Many people used to blame god for their sufferings in this world. In fact, god is in no way responsible for the joys and sufferings of the individual beings. Our own past deeds results in pain pleasure and none can escape the laws of karma or laws of retribution. Once we understand this basic truth that governs our life, we will fear to commit sins and atrocities against others. Hence “Help Ever; hurt never” “Love all and serve all” All are one and be alike to everyone” as recorded in the great scriptures of the world. If we lead our life based on Truth, Love, Non-violence and Righteousness, our lives will be blessed with constant contentment which will lead us to Bliss supreme!
