Let Stillness Lead: A Poem

Updated on March 3, 2013

one moment,

the present moment

is all there is

the past,

forever gone;

the future,

just a dream

standing still

with Now,

One breath

a gateway

a glimpse into the timeless,

eternal truth

in silence

all questions quelled.

with false,

man-made self,

ego quiet

Soul speaks

of dreams forgotten,

buried, unconscious

becomes aware,

heavenly insights

not of this world

to be in this world

yet finding stillness,

immeasurable treasure

pure joy

in the din,

incessant noise

all around

every moment

how does one hear silence?

how is one found by

and lost in

"30. Understanding By Following

In the kingdom of thinking, nothing can be attained by force. Push and thoughts stumble over themselves. Try and there is confusion. Search and struggle and all that is found is searching and struggling. Like moving with the Tao, understanding comes of itself.

The preparation for what comes of itself is called learning. Concentrate on learning and there will be success. Work at understanding and there will be failure.

All learning is learning-by-following. Learn gently and carefully so the following is not disturbed. Learn with anger and the following leads to fear; learn with fear and the following leads to anger.

To understand, learn and then forget learning. Let go and trust. Understanding comes effortlessly. It is not acquired but happens.

Wonder and soften and open. Let understanding lead. Trust the letting go and follow its leading. This is called understanding-by-following. Let go gently and carefully so the following is not disturbed.

Understanding cannot be controlled by self. Learn to understand by learning to be selfless.

Understanding is thinking free of self, moving uncluttered in the empty fullness of the Tao."

Very inspiring and true. It is the simplest of moments that we find our true selves. The I AM presence that is just waiting to be acknowledged and nurtured into its full potential. Stillness is the singularity of Divine essence, the unified field of silence, which is in fact the vibrating frequencies of love. Thank you dear one.

Hey buddy you just got a rare Beautiful from me.

In silence the only thing we can know is quiet. And in quiet there is no reason not to love.

      Very nice friend.
