"Let There Be" Keep an Eye on God's Kingdom

Updated on April 3, 2012

LET THERE BE

In the midst of change...Let there be Stillness

In the midst of Disappointment...Let there be Contentment.

In the midst of Confusion....May there be Patience

Yes! In the Hour of our Testing...Always let there yet be Faith

And in our moment of Despair...Let there yet be Hope.

Despite being in the midst of these Calamaties

Remember that Jesus Christ can indeed Cope!

Let there be Silence...That we might whisper our Prayers

Let there be Joy...That we might sing our Songs

And let there be Peace...

That we should wait on the Lord however Long.

Finally, if there is one thing that we must let there be.

Let there be Love and that it might be among us All.

For without such in our hearts might we Fall.

So as we grow we may yet shed a few more Tears.

Seeking a more perfect Kingdom...

Nevertheless, let us come Near,

Therefore I pray for the Spirit of Harmony.

May all these things be found in you.

And that a Healing may began within us each.

For a testimony of what Christ Love can do.

Let these things be not without me.

And most assuredly let these things be not without you!

@ Gregory Booker

This poem was written during the midst of issues in a church I was attending which was on the verge of creating a split. The issues were not doctrinal but more opinion based. I went to the Lord in prayer and this is what came out of my closet. I just want us to keep our eye on the prize of a Kingdom to Come in Jesus name.

Thanks for the kudos.....It seems there is trouble brewing from the east even to the west so I pray we keep our eye on Christ and remember the abundance of life he will offer to those who look for his appearing. If I could recommend a reading, see my poem "The Other Side of the Cross" , it's my personal favorite. Thanks ahead.
