Let me become many!
The original will.
This is the basic philosophy of creation. Solitude and seclusion may be painful for human beings but not for the creator. The creator was all alone, formless. He willed, "I am alone, Let me become many". Then arose the earth and sky, hills and valleys, the ocean and the rivers. All creatures from fish to birds, animals and human beings started moving. Air began to flow. Finding that none could appreciate him, the creator has bestowed man with intelligence and discriminating powers so that he will be able to appreciate the creation and creator. Man alone has got the power to understand the pure love of the creator and hence he too can share the love with the entire creation.
All the species followed their instincts without any deviation except man who has the power of choice. He can choose any path and travel on that path. But, the animal behavior has never changed even after millions and millions of years of existence. But the human species have undergone lot of changes. He started relying more on his rational mind than intuition inspired by the intellect. Though he was a peak of creation, he has descended to abysmal levels due to utter selfishness and greed.
Wake up! Oh Children of Immortality!
Originally human beings were virtuous, followed the code of ethics perfectly, they revered the elders and preceptors, they lived amicably in a social set up of joint family system, mutually helping each other. There was no fear. Each one worked for the welfare of the entire family as well as the society in which they lived. Due to their righteous ways of living, there was copious rain. Cattle were yielding nourishing milk. People were living until ripe old age. There was over all prosperity. As time rolled by, people started deviating little by little, the laid out ethical ways of living. As a result, there were un-seasonal rain causing heavy floods in one area and severe drought in other area. Theft and other crimes entered into the mind of wicked. With a result, the peace of the society has started deteriorating.
Now, a vital question is "God has gifted man with so much intellect but he has started misusing it for his own personal greed and to enjoy carnal pleasures of the senses. Has God has erred or misjudged man's capacity to adhere to Truth and Righteousness? It can not be! While gifting man with this unique capacity, god has introduced certain irrevocable condition. Whatever man does out of his free will, he has to undergo the effects without fail. As a result of man's behavior, natural disasters increased, many lives and properties were swept off in floods or perished during drought periods. Otherwise many life threatening diseases like small pox, cholera or jaundice outbreak was there killing people in bunches.
If we look at the pathetic situation in which man has landed himself, we can blame only his sense enslaved mind which is like a blind horse is running in a blind alley. Where it will land us? God only knows. But god too undergoes the grief of such misguided souls. He wants every one of us to be back with him in the pristine condition when we parted with God. We were pure, innocent, transparent. Now our efforts must be to rid ourselves of all falsehoods like the body/mind conundrum, the external world, the multiplicity of beings since these are clear imaginations of the illusions of the mind. Saibaba warns the devotees! "The mind is a mad monkey that too intoxicated", Never rely upon such unsteady instrument which will plunge you middle stream in deep depth of despair.
Here we have to remember the clarion call of Swami Vivekananda to the children of Barath, "Arise, Awake, Stop not till the goal is reached". We are in deep slumber during many of our births in this world. How much more time we will waste here without achieving our real aim of emancipation from this dark prison of 'individuality'?
Swami Vivekananda and other messages.
The ultimate Wisdom!
Now let us come to the concluding part of the story. If we deeply deliberate the fact that the One power has become many, then we will realize that we are parts of the whole. The formless power has become all this, the Universe, the five elements and myriads of life. Every life is identifiable with the whole. The fact is that we are all never separate. We reside inside the great power. But there is a created veil of separateness, a thin veil which can be rend aside by the grace of the power and a little effort from our side to cut this veil. Then everything will become clear. The journey of man to God is really from himself to himself. There was no distance at all since 'I am I and you are He!
