Life Before the Eden Garden Part One

Sometimes writers distance themselves from religious subjects when writing. Religion is still taboo to speak about. Read about it instead.

The history of humanity begins at some unwritten time in a distant place. To be more specific would site the likes of science fiction causing the few who would entertain agreeing with my interpretation pause, and consider it contrived. My assertion, in short, is that we lived before we were born. The assertions in this article are based on concepts and doctrines taught within Latter-day Saint religious culture.

To Abraham, God showed "intelligences that were organized before the world was; and among all these there were many of the noble and great ones; and God saw these souls that they were good, and He stood in the midst of them, and He said: These I will make my rulers; for he stood among those that were spirits," Abraham 3:22. This reference attributed to Abraham, the father of three major world religions, refers to us, you and me!

Heaven's Council

ALL humans lived as spirit children of Heavenly parentage created in the image of God the Father. Our lives extend beyond eternity because we lived with God as spirits for eternity learning to become like He is--maturing to a point where He could send us to progress more on earth.

God, the Father, called a council of all of His children, which included all of us. In this council, God presented His plan for our continued learning and development introducing the entire plan called the Plan of Happiness or the Plan of Salvation, which included the provision for each of His Children to have a mortal body, a rescuer from mortality or savior, and the ability to live eternally--a gift including all that God possesses.

We agreed to this plan. Every person born (past, present, and future) agreed to this plan executed by, Jesus Christ, who we knew as Jehovah before His mortal birth. The plan was that Jesus would provide salvation from spiritual death (separation from God) and resurrection from death. Adam, known as Michael prior to his earthly creation and another vital executive subordinate, would introduce physical bodies and death.

Modern revelation reveals that in this august council of the children of God, Jehovah announced, speaking to those who were with Him and appointed to do the work that

We will go down, for there is space there, and we will take of these materials, and we will make an earth whereon these {referring to all of us] may dwell; And we will prove them herewith, to see if they will do all things whatsoever the Lord their God shall command them... Abraham 3:24-25

The Son is Like The Father

The Plan of Salvation

1. Gain a Physical Body

2. Have a Savior from Sin

3. Gain Eternal Life

All done through Jesus Christ!

Jesus is Jehovah

Jehovah is the first of all spirits of Heavenly Father and was ordained as humanity's Savior and Lord (steward) aside from being our brother because of His progression spiritually. He was ordained as the Father of our salvation because of the suffering He would endure spiritually and physically as a part of His mission in the Plan of Salvation in partnership with Adam.

God's chose Jehovah from the beginning to enter the world born as Jesus Christ, the son of God mortality because Jehovah received the glory of God as a spirit by His obedience and learning. He patiently listened to the will of God the Father and obeyed; therefore, He gaining His salvation and glory in the spirit.

He became so adept at following the will of God and executing it that God the Father made Jehovah the word of His power. Jehovah, Jesus, is love. Because all creation loves their Creator they obey. All things have perfect trust that Jehovah, like God our Heavenly Father, will do justly at all times; so, all things, all elements trust and obey Him and are subject to him because He loves all things, and all things love Him. The Word of power (executive force) God the Father uses is love.

Jehovah Explained The Plan of Salvation

Life is Learning

Jehovah explained that Earth would be a place of education and growth where mistakes could be made without permanent consequences. All of us would have the chance to experience physical bodies through birth and mortality based on agency starting with that of Adam and Eve. These two would eventually decide to become mortal and He would pay the price or satisfy the rift caused by sin and Adam's transgression that would occur in the Garden of Eden.

Jehovah explained that resurrection, a reuniting of body and spirit, would be free to all of us following death (separating of mortal body and spirit). And He instructed that forgiveness of our sins would be conditional to our repentance and forgiveness.

Jehovah informed us pre-mortal and glorious beings that on earth, we would be made to forget our associations in heaven as a part of the plan so that we could have a fair chance to choose God without the memory of our glorious home clouding our agency, to show that we are worthy of receiving His glory.

Agents to act and not simply exist

The glory of God is love--a perfect love that causes all the elements of creation to worship and love Him. God the Father and Jehovah want us to have this same glory as do they; therefore, our intentions must be purely a core feature of our emotional development on earth. God desires that all of His obedient children have His standard of living and His power!

In order to truly qualify for this glorious power, we had to do so by forgetting our lives as spirits giving us the right to choose between good and evil on our own experience and intrinsic sensibilities. In other words, we accepted the plan.

It is important to note that none are free of this veil of forgetting. Even Jehovah experienced it after His birth and had to learn by experienceHis purpose before He could carry out His mission in life. Of His youth, it is recorded that "Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man" (Luke 2:52); and "waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him" (Luke 2:40).

As an active participant in the plan, Jehovah informed us that in choosing the good in mortal life and obeying Gods commands, we would receive the glory of God. He explained that Michael would introduce mortal life, death, and sin, to all of us and He, Jesus Christ, would introduce eternal life, resurrection, and forgiveness. Our experience is to be a testing ground for our natures to see if we have the ability to rise to the level of joint-heirs with Him and the Father since we could not do it in our then spiritual state.

Jehovah also revealed that some of us would not choose well and be lost forever. Those, who did not choose to follow God in mortality, would still be resurrected, but they would not receive the Father's glory (executive power) and a place would be prepared for them in which to dwell.

Thanks Eric. I think if we take a critical look at our beliefs we might find that they are not ax orthodox as we assume the are. I mean, I KNOW I am not orthodox. I think, however, there is a little religious freedom of thought in all of us that deviates a little from the established doctrines of our churches and centers of faith.
