Life Flow - John 15:5: A short Devotional

Life flow

Here's a thought to consider...

In John 15 verse 5, Jesus explained that our relationship with him works in this way -

'I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain joined with me and I with you, the relationship intimate and organic, there will be fruitfulness right across your life.'

So, where does the vine stop and the branch begin? One flows into the other - it's hard to discern between the vine and the branch.

Paul declares in Galatians 2 verse 20 - '...I no longer live but Christ lives in me! The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God ...'

As we seek to live in God and He lives in us there is a (super) natural flow of His life, strength, power, anointing and wisdom to us. We will know His mind, His ways, His supply and His leading each day.

Spend time in God's Word
Spend time in God's Word

This close, intimate and dynamic relationship is cultivated by time in God's Word, (John 15:7,10 says - '... if my words remain in you and you remain in me...and you obey my commands') as well as our continual conversation via prayer, our sensitivity to the Holy Spirt and our attentiveness to His leading.

We all know life has many complexities, but life wasn't meant to be complicated. God has made it possible, that through our relationship with Him, there can be a continual flow of life, creativity, productivity, health, peace and blessing - all that we need to live life rather beautifully.

I pray that you live 'vitally connected' to Jesus and that 'life flows' just brilliantly for you.

In John 10 verse 10 Jesus promised - 'I am the only one who can give you true aliveness of life that satisfies; a supernatural quality of life that never ends.'
