Life and how you face it

Updated on December 10, 2009

Life is full of twists and turns that take us to some of the most unexpected places.  There are times when we are directed to some of the most wonderful experiences of our lives, and then there are the times when it seems as though the rug has been pulled out from under us and an avalanche has covered us completely.  Happiness and fear, they are never too far apart and always at odds with each other.

Will it be wonder or heartbreak, what will we face when the sun rises tomorrow?  How will we handle it? Will we be flooded with joy and walk with our heads raised high as thought nothing can harm us?  Will we be surrounded with loss and pain that causes us to age as the weight brings us to our knees?  Either of these scenarios can be faced and handled easily.  The happiness we can always take credit for that ourselves, even thought in reality we had nothing to do with it. With the opposite scenario we can always blame that on others and take no responsibility for our own actions. We as human beings make it so very to slough off anything that points the finger at ourselves.

The only way that we can have true happiness is to place our trust completely in God.  He will bring us through the trials that come in our lives.  He will be more joyous and happy than could imagine as we accept his blessings, knowing that we have nothing to do with them.  When there is sorrow we know He feels our pain as much and more so that we do. All he asks that that we love and honor Him, and he will help us through anything and everything, simply because He loves us.

Take your next step with the Father at your side.  Take your next breath and rejoice in His reality.  Let your next words give Him praise. Let your life shine in His honor.  Walk at His side and rejoice in His presence, knowing He will bring you through everything.  Trust Him and know that He is always at your side.
