Lord Hanuman and the Power of Chalisa
The legend of Lord Hanuman
Introduction to Lord Hanuman
Lord Hanuman is the Hindu super-god from Hindu holy book Ramayana. Not going into the classic language to describe him, we will use simple English to sum up who or what he is.
Hanuman is the avatar of the destroyer Lord Shiva, and Vishnu, born in a royal Monkey dynasty in ancient India. As the God of wind carried his seed before he was born, he is called Son of the Wind too.
Hanuman holds the root powers that flow through 3 planes of existence, including this physical world. Due to this, he commands absolute power of supernatural magnitude which make him unconquerable. Thus he can overcome all forms of evil. Saving devotees and saints was his objective and people recite the Hanuman Chalisa to ward of evil and gain success in their tasks.
From consuming the sun to burning the Lanka (present sri-lanka) Hanuman has been documented in Ramayana as a super hero, albeit without any weaknesses. He is said to hold the king of daemons and ghosts at Mehndipur Balaji, due to which this world is free of evil rule. People flock to this temple for relieving possessions of all kind. They are said to get 100% cure at this place (shown in map)
His Love for God!
Lord Hanuman is called "param Bhakt" or best devotee, his love for the Almighty god serves as an example for people searching for salvation in any age. He shows all the qualities of a perfect devotee. After Shree ram or the incarnation of Vishnu, left for the heavens, lord Hanuman was asked to take care of other devotees through the ages to come. As he can only die on his wish, he is believed to live till date, protecting good people and souls.
The Power of Hanuman Chalisa
What is Hanuman Chalisa?
Hanuman Chalisa, or 40 verses on lord Hanuman is a summoning article, meant to summon lord Hanuman, he is believed to usually come in invisible form, turning visible if the devotee is really dedicated and persistent. It is said that such persistent, good souls can see him in action when they recite the Hanuman Chalisa.
In any case, one can recite the chalisa regularly and this will scare away negative powers like daemons, ghosts, genies, vampires (called pishach or blood sucking creatures in Hindu mythology) and one can also find success in life with the help of this powerful set of mantras.
When to recite Hanuman Chalisa?
It is believed that whenever one finds or feels trouble, in supernatural form or in daily practical life, reciting the chalisa will help them overcome. People in India go to temples on tuesdays which is considered to be Lord Hanuman's day and recite Chalisa at homes and offices.
People usually play the chalisa on audio devices as well, and sing along, this is especially beneficial for non-Hindi speaking folk. You do not have to be a Hindu to benefit from this, Hinduism is a religion focused on utilitarian as well as spiritual objectives and is quite practical. As a result, no real Hindu hardliners exist.
The Mehndipur balaji Temple, Rajasthan, India
People visit this temple in large numbers, this temple is known to cure daemonic possessions of all kinds. The daemons left here can never return
Jakhoo temple, Shimla
God is in our Heart, Not the temples.
The message was for love, the lamps we can light inside us, and the sound calling us from the heavens was all forgotten. Instead we made temples, mosques, churches, and light artificial lamps, rang artificial physical bells.
let us remember that god is within, through meditation, good karma (deeds) and being a good human being, we can achieve a closed place to the Lord. Temples and other places are there to remind us of our mission of love, they are not an end in themselves.
