The ways of our Supreme Mother are inscrutable, yet precise. She unveils manifold plans for Her Universe, and utilises us, as paramount instruments, in this field of manifestation called the Cosmos.

As we struggle, She sometimes grants us graces which remind us of Her beauty; Her majesty, and then we weep. We shed tears not because of shadows, but of a joy and mounting flame within our hearts. Some call this longing.

This Path or Sojourn is so similar for most of us! We go through the seemingly long grind of emotions, desires and attachments; grasping, feeling, needing …, and the play of forces that the Mother provides, helps to make all this possible. Still, we came from Light and as each Soul remembers, the journey of this inner yearning begins.

Aspiration is the beginning and the end of the journey. Somewhere, somehow, and at some designated time, the inner spark of hope and Light, becomes conscious and aware; a tiny flame flickers within, and the struggle begins in earnest.

We ask ourselves who we are; why are we here; what is it all about and where are we going? This inner hunger is such that without it, very little – if at all – can manifest in God’s creation. It is in the base coarseness of our desires, as well as the mounting flames of our aspiring lives.

Then the Mother begins Her work. We create an essential goal or purpose, as we seek to give meaning to life, and understand its myriad diversities and paradoxes. Without an intense faith in the Supreme Source; a Perennial Entity, it is nigh impossible to grow; to progress. Still, the Wise one says:

“O Mother, I remember you, only because You remembered me first.”

And so Grace – the Mothers Love, goodness and mercy – first fills our core with yearning, as a pre-requisite, to the self-effort which follows on. Initially we do not know this. Lost in this play of forces, the dance of Ego makes us feel that we are separate, that we have ‘free will’, and leads us on a path of division which inevitably fails.

What a wonder is this life! As it weaves and spins its intricate web, we dance and cry; we weep and waltz and jump with joy and happiness. Thus the cycle continues, until one day the human capacity ends and prayer – both verbal and interior – begins. This is ultimately followed by its powerful brother called meditation; more of the inner Grace that burns our veil, casting away its darkness, to grant us Light.

It is only then that our true dance begins. We love, serve, offer up ourselves in sacrifice for our true image: Spirit. Only this time it is blessed with a copious bliss that never ceases; a profuse and burning love which ever expands, and an infinite and indescribable sweetness, within the Soul.

Yes, Avian. An inner indomitable will. But this also relies on His Grace. Much Peace.

Certainly, Hope is an enormous factor once we feel dejected, does not know the "outcome" of an event/decision in our lives. I have enjoyed your writings. This one was an appreciable addition again. Stay Blessed Brother MANATITA

      So sincere! So touching!

I believe that you are the one who corrected that piece I suggested on Ebola, right? I found this so gracious of you! You could not have done it without a gifted spirit. God bless your devoted heart. We are all in the same boat, a golden boat on its way to a Golden Shore. Much gratitude, and God speed!

Manatita44, thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm a seeker trying to reconcile the religious traditions of my youth that do not make sense under the scrutiny of science yet feel as comfortable as my Dad's old bathrobe. My disillusionment with organized worship, my disconnection from God, and my daily fervent prayer and desire to be filled up with God's love, and to experience peace regardless of the circumstance. I have moments where my soul is renewed, my heart is bursting with God's love, grace, and peace, when I understand everything and know nothing and am contented just the same. As a seeker who knows--that I DON'T KNOW, thank you for this beautiful Hub. As I read it I felt love-peace-joy!

The many facets we see and go through and the challenges we enter into before we see the light. This is beautiful as well as the video. The music is so calming and perfect for this hopeful piece. Peace my friend...

      My Brother,

You are very wise and a Jewel to my Heart. I entered Hub Pages this way some years ago, but drifted into poems as another way to inspire, to serve. Human consciousness is not always ready, and so we Seekers of the way sometimes have to come down a bit. But yes, I prefer this avenue so much! I just try to temper it with love, and to do this, I tend to descend. I'm sure you know what I mean.

Very loving and heartfelt sentiments from you, Bro. Hari Om Tat Sat!

Manatita, dear brother, the world needs such stuff badly that you so beautifully produced here. This is a real nectar that the whole humanity should drink to become one without distinctions. And what can I say about the wonderful dream depicted in the poems of Sri Chinmoy. May the very compassionate & affectionate Mother impel all of us to realize that dream ! Loved reading this very enlightening hub - a true light to be seen by all. Thank you very much. Voted up and shared.
