Giving God and His Son a Makeover
Today, we are part of the end times as Scripture has prophesied. It does not take much to read the latest headlines to see the fulfillment of some of them. Paul warned about apostasy in his time and we can see the counterfeit that is the man-driven church system today. Many do not understand the the concept of deception because there is lack of emphasis on the teaching of Christ and the apostles. The standard of God’s word has taken a backseat to compromise making God and His Son into an image of man’s own making. Religious men have turned them into something that fits in best with their our own self-reasoning. The man-driven church system has given God and Christ makeovers to be a compromising, feel good, user friendly, 'bubble-gum,' reformed, unbalanced and politically-correct reflections of their own selfish needs.
But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and DOCTRINES OF DEMONS, by means of the hypocrisy of liars seared in their own conscience as with a branding iron - 1 Timothy 4:1-2
We are living in times where Satan is having a heyday where there are many demonically energized agendas taking place. Without knowing the truth of God’s word, there will be a lack of nourishment, discernment and revelation to the deceptions of the malevolence that is taking place in our world today. In the New Testament, Paul stated that we must be constantly feeding ourselves with truth. This is something important to consider as we weigh and test the things that are going on in our world today.
Are you being nourished daily with God's word, or are you feeding into the counterfeit?
We are being bombarded with fake news, but have ever considered the fake ‘Good News’ coming from the religious media outlets.
In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, CONSTANTLY NOURISHED on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following. - 1 Timothy 4:6
Many fail to fully understand, or comprehend God's perfect plan through His Son. They would rather create their own agendas based on their vain imaginations. We were created in the image of God, but man wants to fit God and His Son into their image instead. The results can be seen in the modern church system where you can find a predictable and an easy-to-figure-out ‘God’ and a ‘Saviour’ created to sell the masses the doctrine of demons. Walk in through her doors and you will be given something that was created to be palatable and make you feel good, but requires your money for their services.
Here are some common phrases that are catalyzing the makeover of God's plan in the modern church system today.
- Jesus is my 'homeboy.'
- God accepts me, even though I don’t live up to the truths of His word. I am 'saved' and God just looks the other way when I continue to sin.
- God makes me feel good, but conviction of sin does not make me feel good.
- God knows my background; therefore, He understands where I am coming from and makes special allowances for me.
- God is a loving God and does condemn the lifestyle of my choosing.
- God boosts my image and self-esteem to bring me more acceptance among my peers.
- My church is accepting and welcoming of everyone because we can't help who we are. We were born this way.
- Don't feel guilty for your sin because there is no condemnation here.
- It is not sin, but rather an inconvenience.
But the rest of it he makes into a god, HIS GRAVEN IMAGE. He falls down before it and worships; he also prays to it and says, “Deliver me, for you are my god.” - Isaiah 44:17
They do not know, nor do they understand, for He has smeared over their eyes so that they cannot see and their hearts so that they cannot comprehend. No one recalls, nor is there knowledge or understanding to say, “I have burned half of it in the fire and also have baked bread over its coals. I roast meat and eat it. Then I MAKE THE REST OF IT INTO AN ABOMINATION, I fall down before a block of wood!” - Isaiah 44:18-19
Satan is very clever and he is up to his same-old tricks catching many off guard. He put many stumbling blocks in front of the Israelites to keep them out of the Promised Land. Today, he is doing the same by setting up religious environments that are glamorous and attractive, but are compromises the turn away from following Christ to bowing down to the 'golden calf.' Many are gobbling the deception like cotton candy. Nourishment from the truth of God's word is exchanged for a quick-fix, lukewarm doctrines that are carnally designed to please the masses.
Nevertheless, with most of them God was not well-pleased; for they were laid low in the wilderness. NOW THESE THINGS HAPPENED AS EXAMPLES FOR US, so that we would not crave evil things as they also craved. Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written, “THE PEOPLE SAT DOWN TO EAT AND DRINK, AND STOOD UP TO PLAY...”
Nor let us act immorally, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day. Nor let us try the Lord, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the serpents. Nor grumble, as some of them did, and were destroyed by the destroyer. NOW THESE THINGS HAPPENED TO THEM AS AN EXAMPLE, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come. Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed that he does not fall. - 1 Corinthians 10:5-12
The way to our Father in heaven through Christ cannot be watered-down. The Holy Spirit does not work nor bring conviction in disobedience and rebellion. The religion of self-esteem gives a carnal confidence and the whitewash of being righteous that makes you feel okay with yourself. God is considered as your 'best friend forever' and His Son is your 'homeboy' who is non-judgemental and affirming. They way to the Father is derived from man’s vain imaginations then sold to the masses.
If Scripture says that God is unchanging and the faith of His Son does not change, then why are people trying to make changes?
The man-driven church system today has conformed to a user-friendly mentality where what is called the ‘Good News’ means tolerating, accepting and compromising of most lifestyle choices. What is called 'Christianity' is catered toward self-analysis, self-fulfillment and self-esteem. Self has become god; this equates to idolatry.
The authority of Christ has been replaced for an affirmative support groups that ignore repentance and walking in Kingdom principles. The latest wares of the church system are specialized books and seminars to teach you how you can change to be a better person through self-fulfillment. Teaching and preaching the word of God is distorted to fit a man-made mold. The scales are tipped toward the one-sidedness of mercy, forgiveness and the love of sinners, but righteousness, holiness and hatred of sin are not mentioned.
They not only change God to conform to their carnal needs, but we also change the truth as well. This what they call a necessary amendment, but really it is comprise.
Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? DO NOT BE DECEIVED; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. - 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
The power of the Gospel has been compromised with religious syncretism where many diverse and contending belief systems are attempting to merge together. The promotion of ecumenical interfaith doctrines based on 'unity' is becoming more and more popular, but this has nothing to do with being in one accord with the mind of Christ.
A balanced version of who God is can be summed up in the following text:
For the wages of sin is DEATH, but the free gift of God is eternal LIFE in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 6:23
God gives us a choice of life, or death, but we must choose His way, not create our own paths and call it God’s way. This is antichrist. The true and accurate image of God is expressed in the truth of Scripture that was and is God-breathed and God-inspired,. The traditions of man and their amendments are not self-breathed and self-inspired. What is called 'Christianity' today is a term term that means a politically correct ecumenical agenda driven by man. A true follower of Christ does not mix the holy and profane because God's laws are written on their hearts by what Christ has done. They are led by the Spirit, not religious men who want to make a buck off of you.
We all have the potential to fall astray and become influenced by the deceptive antichrist spirit of these last days. The Holy Spirit can give you revelation in areas where you may have veered off the straight and narrow path and helps avoid the snares and pitfalls of Satan’s schemes and deceptions. It is so vital to be able to discern the counterfeit. What many have embraced as truth is a clever delusion. The intensity of the demonic agenda is in full ramp-up mode. What many think of as insignificant compromises compounds to an infested faith leading many on the broad way having a reprobate mind that leads to destruction. Don't let the religious ‘termites’ attack the foundation of your faith, but focus on the Kingdom of God.
Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that A LITTLE LEAVEN LEAVENS THE WHOLE LUMP OF DOUGH? Clean out the old leaven so that you may be a new lump, just as you are in fact unleavened. For Christ our Passover also has been sacrificed. - 1 Corinthians 5:6-
Before the physical return of Christ, we must contend for and stand strong in our relationship with our Father through him by intensifying our study and allowing the Holy Spirit to give us greater understanding of God's word. If we are obedient to the way of Christ, our eyes will open via the Holy Spirit. We will have the strength and boldness to walk the narrow way in the dark times we live in and have victory.
Therefore let him who thinks he stands TAKE HEED that he does not fall. - 1 Corinthians 10:12
The message for today is that there is victory only in the genuine way of Christ. Satan knows his time is limited and that is why there is an exertion of so many religious counterfeits.
As followers of Christ, we are in a spiritual battle and it is only through the help of the Holy Spirit that we are able to discern the strategies and schemes of the devil and know the genuine truth.
Being a follower of Christ is not about running around on the many religious ‘playgrounds’ and playing in the ‘jumpy castles’ called church, but it is a battlefield of sewing seeds for the Kingdom.
Christ said' "Remember Lot's wife!"
We must ask where peoples hearts are today. They are what they cling to.
Once we leave the harlot church system, we must not look back, but put our focus on the eternal things of God.
Another also said, “I will follow You, Lord; but first permit me to say good-bye to those at home.” But Jesus said to him, “No one, after putting his hand to the plow and LOOKING BACK, is fit for the kingdom of God.” - Luke 9:61-62
The ‘Hollywood Good News’ is popular and is strategically marketed in the mainstream church system. It appeals to the senses with exciting, glamorous, romantic, appealing, profitable, predictable and many quick fixes. This is not what the Kingdom of God is about, but is a self-destructive habit that will leave you destitute of living water.
‘Because you say, “I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing,” and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. - Revelation 3:17
Are you sure you haven't given God and His Son a makeover to suite your needs?
May we sort out our salvation with fear and trembling so that we may be lights in this dying world.
Are you sure you haven't given God and His Son a makeover to suite your needs?
- Church: Carnival Rides, Games and Sideshows
Most mega churches have lots of money and can be raised up to "Disney Land status in order to entertain the flock, while the smaller less elite ones can be considered the "county fair".
- Examples of Confronting Error in the Body of Christ
Taking a stand and defending truth will causes dissension and "ruffle feathers" within the Body of Christ, but the Truth must be used to judge what is righteous and unrighteous behavior.
