Masjid Shab-Bharr

Updated on October 20, 2009

Mosque in Islamic culture is known as a place to worship Almighty God/Allah. There is different meaning of mosques “Masjid” in different languages; Mosque is a Building which is referred to Muslims Worshiping called “Salat” which is prayer.  Mosques are used in Islam for many purposes like Salat, settlement of disputes, religious education, and spreading important information to society, the Most important events happen in Mosques are Ramadan Events and Salat of Jumma, Eidain. The structure / design of mosques may vary in different cultures but the core objective is to worship Allah in any way. Mosques are not property of anyone, it’s dedicated place to Islam and Muslims contribute in it’s expenses like electricity or other, or anyone can also take responsibility of bearing all expenses of Mosques but no one is bound to perform this action (Supporting Mosques) but let me clear you one thing that

There are 5 Pillar of Islam

1         Believing God (There’s no God but Allah and Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the last messenger of Allah

2         Salat (Offering five times prayer a day)

3         Fast (in Ramadan, staying hungry from Salat of Fajjar to Salat of Maghrib)

4         Zakat (Every eligible person should pay 2.5% of its Halal earning)

5         Hajj (Offering Hajj – he who can bear it’s expenses)

I was talking about Mosques, Mosques are made in thousands of number in Islam but There’s one mosque which was build in one night only.

Mosque of Night (It’s Called Masjid Shab-Bhar – which means mosque made in night / mosque of a night

It is located in Shalimi Chowk in Lahore-Pakistan, It was constructed in 1917 when there was no India or Pakistan, It was subcontinent as you know from the History that the Lahore is the OldestCity and it was ruled by Mughal Emperors, Brittan also came to Lahore because it was the Core/Base or Backbone of Sub-Continent. The issue was that Shalimi Chowk was humongous place and in the center of Chowk was some place about 3-Marlas (Approx 270*3 Sq. Feet), Hindus Wanted to make their temple there and Muslims wanted to build a Mosque. This issue got fire and case was submitted to Court, British Judge (I don’t remember to name exactly) ordered that He’ll visit the place on the next day and then would decide what actually to do, this place was on stay that nothing to can be built there (as you know it) It was Law on that time that Graves and Religious Institutions will not be destroyed. The lawyer of Muslim advised Muslims that there’s only one way that if you build the mosque in the available night before tomorrow morning, because Brittan was also with Hindus due to their buttering habit to Brittan. Muslims had no resources to build a mosque and also in one Night, it was impossible but they have a power of Strong Believe on Allah. However they started to work aiming to accomplish their goal in a night. Every one contributed in it, He who works of Wood, brought its available resources and worked of Wood, Similarly everyone did whatever he/she could. Finally before Sunrise they build the Mosque, Isn’t it amazing? What they had? Without Labor, Without Engineers, Most important in one night they build it. The very important factor in building that Mosque in one Night was Their Believe “Emaan” The power of believe always helped Muslims in facing every problem and they solved it in seconds with the Help of Almighty Allah.

This Mosque is also called as Mosque of Demons in local community because constructing a mosque in one night? It’s impossible but they made it possible. Minor part of local community calls it Mosque of demons because of the human mind can’t even imagine to construct in one night. I agree that it’s possible in today’s age, but in 1917? When technology was not so much advanced even it’s was not born I think. Am I Right?

Power of Believe is the key to success for Muslims, Look Dear, Allah is same, Allah is not changed, the change is in our hearts, and our beliefs, Test your self. Close your eyes and let the thing come in your mind that you love most. It would be money, job, family, home, lover, friends or anything, a minor part of Muslims would have Allah and those get their problems solved by Allah. Suhaba (The companions of Prophet (PBUH)) what they had with themselves-- money? power? resources? Or anything if you know?

They had only one thing which was their belief and strongest belief which gave them pleasure in following Prophet (PBUH) Look my Dear, Life is not sure, Muhammad (S.A.W) said which has the summary that “I’m not sure of my life of a single second” My dear, before the life ends. Make Allah Happy. Islam is one and only religion in world which tell you what to do and how to do it and how to make it easy, pleasant act of your life.

I’m hopeful, you’ll think about it.
