May God Grant You, Friend, Eternity
May God Grant You ,Friend, Eternity
God grant you , friend ,happiness,
Such a great joyous life of living,
Not happiness just for thyself alone,
For it stems from a life of giving.
By just giving one a tender smile
When a smile will bring some cheer
To a lonely heart or to a lost soul,
Or to someone so near and dear.
Speak a kind word if words are due
Offer them a gift of faith and love.
Just offer a love to your fellowmen
And faith to the Father up Above.
May God grant you , friend ,wisdom,
All through your life that lies ahead.
Never trample a poor outcast soul
For you know he suffered and bled.
Just offer to him of your great wisdom,
Give him the Word he needs to hear.
You know without God He's a lost child,
And to the Father he is so very dear..
And always remember this ,my friend,
Wherever you should happen to be,
This love will span the nationwide,
Or it will cross over the deepest sea.
It will live through the age of Time,
And those years pass by so rapidly.
We know if we live this faith and love,
Our God will be with us friend ,Eternally!

This is another one on of my old ones,
Written Jan. 1959, I am going to try to
mix and match them some ,I have
oldies here that have never been used.
If they don't go over very well I will just
come back to my late poems .When I am
gone I don't think there will be anyone to
take them over ,I wish all of you the very
best always, It seems like I know you all,
Clara
Comments
For ever and ever, Amen!
Voted it up and beautiful.
Old or new, the Word of God is fresh as ever, and will remain so. You write a good message, Clara.
Take all of your poems, or writings and put them in a folder somewhere safe, and you never know who will read them on down the line. Like I said, the message does not get old.
Lovely hub. Wish I could meet you. Ann
I add a comment I made to a response to one of my Hubs:
His love is always ours through His sacrifice. His gift of life is ours to magnify. His gift of the companionship of the Holy Ghost is ours when and while we live righteously so we may follow its promptings. That togetherness (with the Holy Ghost) is one we must honor each day, each moment, even in our choice of surroundings.
That is brilliant, Clara! Just brilliant!
"This love will span the nationwide,Or it will cross over the deepest sea."
First in Jerusalem, then Judea, then to the very ends of the earth.
Well done, then and now. I haven't visited in awhile, but the spirit felt in this is keen and vibrant. God show! Up and Beautiful.
