Morning Coffee with Jesus - December 8, 2009
Hello loved ones! Welcome to “Morning Coffee with Jesus.”
Today’s “Morning Coffee with Jesus” comes from James 5:11. "As you know, we considered blessed those who have persevered. You have heard of Job's perseverance and have seen what the Lord finally brought about. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy."
We should never be afraid of those trials that God sees fit to send upon us. It is with the wind and the storm of tribulation that God separates the true wheat from the chaff. Always remember that God comes to you in your sorrows, as much as He comes to you in your joy. He breaks down and He builds up. You will find yourself far from perfection if you do not find God in everything you experience; good and bad.
Isn't it fitting that the wind and storm of tribulation each of us endures is, like a natural storm, temporary? Whether it is a storm of illness, a storm of financial distress, a storm of emotional stress or strain, we can confidently state, "Though the sorrow lasts for the night rejoicing comes in the morning!" Though we endure the storm, we know that eventually it will be over and each of us can move on with our lives.
Today, don’t be afraid of the trial. Just know that God is going to carry you through. Be faithful to Him and work through it, not looking to the left or to the right. Your perseverance will enable you walk steadily on and when the trial is over, look back and possibly even appreciate the trial because through it you experienced growth. Joy comes in the morning for those who trust and persevere.
Have an awesome day in Jesus. Go MAD in someone’s life today.
Stay sweet,
stay broken,
stay His
Blessings,
E.
