Morning Coffee with Jesus - February 11, 2010

Updated on February 10, 2010

Greetings loved ones! Would everyone who has a sore back from shoveling snow yesterday please raise their hands!

Today’s “Morning Coffee with Jesus” comes from Psalm 68:19.  “Praise be to the Lord, to God our Savior, who daily bears our burdens.”

Have you ever considered how merciful God is to us?  I have thought about the times when I didn't get what I SOO badly wanted and in retrospect it was a very good thing because having it would have been disastrous!!

Fortunately God sees all of our days before we were even born!  And He knows what direction our lives will take and the outcome before we even experience those things.  That's why it is so important to let the Holy Spirit guide us - because God really does have a plan for our lives.  The "finger of God" works in strange ways and even though we are sinful people and suffer afflictions, judgments, misfortunes, it is still God's love for us that causes the Holy Spirit to reach out to us and touch us in very gentle ways.

How thankful I am that I have endured the crosses, trials and tribulations in my life!  It means that God loves me and the enemy hates me - and this keeps me focused on God leading me and being my Strength.

Remember today that He is your strength and your guide.  There is nothing you need to do but acknowledge Him and then allow His Holy Spirit to lead you.  With that in mind, HOW can we lose??  God is so cool!!

Have a safe day in Jesus! Go MAD in someone’s life today!

Stay sweet,
stay broken,

stay His!

Mercy...what a word. It is daily part of my life as God is so good to me. Thanks for the reminder, Elisa, I needed that!
