Mouse Under The Queens Chair
I begin this story with a sad heart because people are so quick to jump to conclusions and point their finger at another person without knowing all the circumstances involved in the situation.
Its like the pastor who went to visit a sick friend and they just happened to be living in the red light district.
The pastors car broke down and he had get a ride home and leave his car there which caused quite a lot of talk in his church.
I wonder what would have happened if the next night, this pastor had purposely parked his car in front of the lady's house that was causing all the trouble in his church?
Lets imagine that we have received an invitation to visit with a couple that was fortunate enough to be invited to the inauguration of the Queen of England.
They were in the middle of the entire splendor surrounding the event: flags, polished uniforms, shiny trumpets, gold, glitter, and etc.
When they returned from their excursion someone asked, "How was it?
What did you see?"
They snapped back with, "We saw a mouse under the chair of the Queen!"
Can you imagine traveling that far, scheduling connections, travel arrangements and being blessed to see the royal ceremonies and the only thing they remembered was a mouse under the chair?
It's like some of the people attending church now; they can only find fault in the most ridiculous things and not be blessed to be in the center of the splendor of worshiping God.
Satan will do anything to distract your mind, emotions and your heart from seeking the living God.
We enter a congregation of the saints, where the Spirit of God is moving mightily in His Splendor and all we see is something that does not even pertain to the service..
Whatever it may be that distracts you from the movement of God, falls into Satan's agenda to steal, kill and destroy.
It's a shame today when people will use the opportunity to testify about what has done in their life and misuse that blessing as a platform to spread gossip.
Some people always want to be in the front of everything going on which reminds me of one of the old brush arbor outdoor meetings the churches used to have.
Everyone would come together to a place where the men had piled brush around and area that would act as a wall or barrier from the woods nearby.
The elders would come forth and conduct an outdoor service which tended to bring an atmosphere of worship and sacredness to the service.
I remember one time that a young mentally retarded boy would always speak up and say he would see something in most of the services. He would listen with intensity as some would speak of the visions that they had received from the Lord.
The church was knelt in prayer and the young boy was also assembled at the make shift altar.
During this time one of the children had been playing and climbing on the brush pile and had fallen head first through the brush. He was saved by a branch that had caught his shoe and was suspending him in mid air.
The young boy at the altar opened his eyes while praying and spotted the young boy hanging in the brush.
He turned around with a loud voice and exclaimed "Bless God, I do see something this time"!
Well, the boy was rescued from the brush and the service continued but we never know what we will encounter when we assemble together however I do feel we need to keep our attention and devotion upon the service for the intent of what we came for and that is to worship with other believers and get some help to make it another day in an ever changing world that takes no prisoners.
My daddy always said to use wisdom and not point fingers without knowing the truth which makes a lot of common sense.
One would surely have more friends.
