Quote from the Master

"God does not ask me for my mind's brilliance.

He only asks me for my Heart's radiance." -Sri Chinmoy

* This entire Hub, including the video, is sacred. It is by nature, designed for a slow read and a profound inner experience*

Love is in the godless as well as the godly, the nobody, as well as the somebody … the ignorant, as well as the prudent or the wise. Love is in dirty as well as in clean water, but we drink the clean through the power of discrimination and leave the dirty for another form of use or consumption.

The child calls: “Ma! Ma!” The mother comes running and she tends to its needs as necessary. This child soon becomes a grown-up and puts away childish things. So too, does the omnipresence of Love in all.

She cleans the babe and gives wisdom to the Seer, yet the growth of the child is just as important. Every stage is planned; is mapped out and the universe carves out its path for each sojourner along the way Home.

Yet it behoves each one to follow his own dharma (inner code of Law; righteousness; duty). To follow the Dharma of another will bring us constant harm. It may not be the duty of the family to be monks and nuns, nor the doctor to be a lawyer. At its choicest hour, Love uses us in its own way, in accordance with its Will and Consciousness.

One needs to know one’s way, either through the good fortune of meeting an illumined Soul, or of an inner intuitive experience. Other than this, it should feel right on the journey … in harmony with the Pilot within.

Wisdom from the Master

"If you do not know the capacity of your mind, You have not missed much. If you do not know the capacity of your heart, You have missed much. If you do not know the capacity of your soul, You have missed all.

The highest Truth is within our hearts but unfortunately we have not yet discovered it. So I ask my disciples to go deep within and meditate on the heart, which houses the soul."

As regards the God-seeker, Love does not like the God-seeker to know that which is not necessary to know. Why should he return to an experience which he has already had? Should a man who has had a near death experience, voluntarily wish to return to the scene of the incident? Should the teenager crawl on all fours screaming ‘mummy’ ‘mummy’, I need my feed?

The seeker lives in the experience of the here and now. There is no past or future, only the present moment, only the Eternal Now. Forward is a realm of possibilities … backwards is the path that shaped his journey and will continue to shape his journey, but has not given him fulfilment. So the road to Love is always ahead, towards the journey of self-transcendence.

The true seeker knows that Love is not only the lowest, but the Highest; she is all devotion, knowing that her life is not only a great privilege given by the Divine but also a great responsibility.

“He sees that there is no past, no future; there is only one Eternal Now, only one Eternal Life, only one Eternal Love. What he has and what he is, and what God has and what God is, are nothing but the Eternal Now. Here he sows, here he grows. Here he is God the seed; again, here he is God the fruit. In the Eternal Now, God’s Self-Transcendence-Reality and his own life-liberating, life-immortalising reality abide.” -Sri Chinmoy.

I welcome you here with all my Love.

Note: Some of my quotes -while powerful on their own - are excepts from a much larger body of Sri Chinmoy’s writings. They can all be found on the internet and there are over 1,000 books free and available for perusal on

Wisdom from the Master

"An ordinary man does not have control of his consciousness. But a spiritual man is able to control his. He tries to lead a better life, a higher life, and in so doing, he brings down the light of the Beyond into the darkness of the present-day world." -Sri Chinmoy

My Experience of Love

I prayed in silence ... the eloquence of angelic

Voices touched my core. Deep within I blended,

And my tears pulled at the beauty of moonlight,

Even as my Heart danced, on the craters of the sun.

Soar, soar, charmed Phoenix of the immortal!

I long to be dissolved in wings of Light.

Powerless … powerless am I, as my breath changes

Rhythm, immersed into a constant flow of energy.

I felt the great paradox, of this bodily temple,

Not truly destitute, just subdued in solitude,

Like a Seer in trance, by the rays of supernal

Melodies, pouring sweetness into its Spirit.

O lotus – garden of unknowable ecstasies,

Pour into my void Your golden Silence.

Wisdom from the Master

"Has your soul a special mission? Yes. Your mission is in the inmost recesses of your heart, and you have to find and fulfil it there. Forgetfulness makes you feel that you are finite, weak and helpless. This is not true. You are not the body. You are not the senses. You are not the mind. These are all limited. You are the soul which is unlimited …"

Wisdom from the Master

"Your soul is infinitely powerful. Your soul defies all time and space. Your special mission - which is the fulfilment of your divinity - is not outside you, but within. Search within. Meditate within. You will discover your mission." -Sri Chinmoy
