My Marriage ... It is like a dream come true.... Guess who is at the center of it?
Wonderful marriage with Christ at the center of it.
I do not believe in fairy tales and I am certainly not Prince Charming. Yet, my marriage is an incredible display of love with God at the center of it. It has been evident both to my wife and myself many times that God put us together for a reason, His reason. Not to imply that we have some kind of perfect marriage because I really believe that there is no such thing. A marriage takes two people that are willing to work together, compromise and often be able to put that person before yourself. Well, who does that? The only person I know who does that consistently is my God and savior, Jesus Christ. He can do it and does do it but it is a huge rarity for me to be able to do it. I only keep coming to the realization of all the work that I have to do. The Bible says Husbands love your wives. The Bible also says that you should treat your wife as Christ treated the church. I fall well short of that. Not to say I do not have moments because I do have them but doing that consistently is something that I fall so very short of. In some ways I guess I need to realize how fortunate I am to be so very madly in love with my wife. We have something together that I believe few people ever reach. She is my soulmate. I prayed for her and God answered my prayer. I have personally arrived at a place where I find myself completely fulfilled in every sense of the word. I do not want for anything. That is right I want for nothing. I cannot even begin to express the peace and comfort I feel in knowing that I have found in Dana the most incredible love I have ever felt. The best part of our relationship is that Jesus is and always will be at the center of it. Really what more can you ask for than that? We have fellowship and communion with God and it is never more evident than in our rock solid faith. I love her now and I will love her even as I take my last breath. I am her biggest fan ( next to Jesus that is ) and I will continue to be in all of my days. God gave me this gift and I have promised to never take it for granted. This particular knot was tied so very tight that it would never become undone. I will never figure out why God is so good to a wretch like me but He certainly is and I feel it all the time. Indeed I feel it all of the time. He really loves me and I love Him with all my heart. I am His servant and His friend. The goodness of God truly knows no bounds. His love is immense. I thank Him every day for giving me this wonderful marriage, this wonderful wife and the ability to recognize all of His incredible gifts and the wonderful gift of salvation. I love you Jesus and I thank you for all You have done for me. I will indeed be the very best servant to You and the very best husband I can be to my wife. God is so incredibly good. Thank you does not even begin to cover it. He has given us so very much and it is truly a blessing beyond compare.
Here are some verses on marriage:
Matthew 19:5 For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So then, they are no longer two but one flesh.
Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts her; so he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil all the days of her life.
Proverbs 18:22 He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from The Lord.
Proverbs19:14 Houses and riches are an inheritance from fathers, But a prudent wife is from The Lord.
Ephesians 5:25 Husbands love your wives , just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her ...
God bless always.
